RCO 2013. 139 players. Of only 10 males rated under 900 in the tournament, I am one, so that's the leg I stand on when I say:
It makes sense I would sign up for the lowest skill division offered for males: MM1 (Advanced Master), and:
The PDGA says if a Pro were to play MM1, their rating must be below 935. Why they don't make the same requirement for Amateurs is beyond me. Without that requirement, there is nothing to prevent an amateur with ANY rating from also playing in the same supposedly-protected MM1 division. Nothing except, well, themselves...
In contrast, there is not a single MA1 (Advanced) player rated over 975 (the cutoff for Pros playing MA1). Likewise, no FW1 (Advanced Women) players over 850. Where are they all? Playing Pro! Bravo!
