Default South Valley Spring Handicap League (PDGA Sanctioned)-->Dexter<---

You’re invited to participate in the South Valley Spring Handicap League. This is a PDGA sanctioned league put on by the Eugene Disc Golf Club. For new and amateur players: it’s a great opportunity to meet other disc golfers, improve your game, and learn about competitive (but still friendly) play. For pros and advanced players: it's a chance to log some PDGA rated rounds while tutoring less experienced players.

Weekly Cost:
$5 entry fee ($4 to payouts, $1 to PDGA, club, and league expenses)
$1 ace pot (optional)
Payouts for handicap scores and top scratch score

Rules:
Style of play will be singles. PDGA rules will be followed with the exception that players over the age of 21 may consume alcohol if the park allows it.

Time and Location:
Starts Thursday May 10th and runs for 8 weeks. The first meeting will be at 5:30pm at Dexter State Park. The league will move around to other courses over the 8 week period, but will always meet at 5:30 on Thursday. No set course schedule yet.

Establishing Your Handicap:
2 rounds are required to establish your handicap. You will not be eligible for payouts until your handicap is established. You can get a jump start and establish your handicap before league starts by picking up a scorecard and logging some rounds at any of the following locations and times:

Saturday April 14th, 10am-4pm. Alton Baker Park ($5 pay-to-play trial weekend)
Friday April 20th, 3-7pm. North Regional Park (Cottage Grove)
Sunday April 22nd, 2-6pm. Dexter State Park
(more may happen and i'll try to let people know in advance)

Signing up:
There is no sign-up fee. You can sign up at any of the events listed above, or via web form here:

Thanks a ton!! Sorry we couldn't get that last round in before the start of league. You can still come out and get a rated round while you establish your handicap. Week 1 was a big success and hopefully it only gets bigger!

The ratings look really low. I know they are not official yet and the course was in all short pins, but I'm not sure I want to pay to tank my rating. Any idea if there was a problem with the numbers?

I dont think there is a problem with the numbers. like 5 people did shoot their PR that night though. If you look at the Womens Global ratings from this weekend it matches up with our results. We just need to move some pins deep and it will all even out.

I suppose Chris did kind of ruin the curve. Still seems like a 44 should be higher. I guess I'll find out this week- I hope to make it.

Also the league will continue on next week. This is just the end of the "Spring" session. The summer session will be the same format and also be PDGA sanctioned. Thursdays at 5:30...this time we will be alternating between The Grove and Dexter every other week. Starting with Dexter next week (july 5th)

Default Summer League Finale

The South Valley Summer League is coming to an end Tomorrow is the finale at Cottage Grove. 25 people qualified for the finale by making it to 3 or more league meetings in the past 7 weeks.

The finale will again be a one-round handicap tournament. You will compete within your division for the lowest handicap score. Payouts will be more than double the normal amount and and the top 40% of each division will be paid! Entry is still $5. Check the divisions below:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApVjU...lpsUGhJVTV5aVE
