To my knowledge ( I am on the WSS planning committee) the 2012 WRO is NOT a part of the WSS.

Thanks David for posting this information for WRO wonder why they went to two 27's instead of 3 18's

The Windy River Open will be getting pulled from the PDGA Schedule until Kaleb gets in contact with me to have the event approved.

Kaleb has been in the TD business a long time, so there is no excuse for his disregard of PDGA protocol.

I'm cool with 2 rounds instead of 3. Seems like having less people being able to play could be a disappointment. Starting at 8:30am to play one round seems a bit excessive too. Especially cause the last 2 or 3 events I've been to have started a bit on the late side. The one round 27 hole events we've had in Spokane at High Bridge have started at 11. Making it really easy for folks to cut out a day of hotel rooms and camping. This would seem to be especially nice for a tourney in such a central locale to Seattle, Spokane and Portland..
I'm obviously a bit late posting on this but I just thought I'd throw it out there. The tourney seems like it's in limbo still. I guess proper protocol hasn't been followed yet. It should hopefully be cleared up soon.

Lighten up Mike. It seems to me that a private message would have worked just as well and not been so confrontational especially for an event that has been around longer then you have.

Maybe your "tude" is why we are having a hard time keeping TD's

I just had a good conversation with Kaleb this morning and I'm happy to say that the Windy River Open will be back up on the PDGA website soon.

I would like to add - Kaleb is a very trustworthy individual that has many years of service to the disc golf community. This complication was just a bump in the road as we progress from the old-school ways of doing things to actually following the standards for sanctioned events.

Glad to hear that this event will be sanctioned. It's going to be my first singles event.

Any idea of when/if this will have an on-line registration? A few of us from the Seattle area are considering making the trip but are curious as to the size of the field so far and also need to know how to sign up if we decide to play...

Thanks!

Any idea on what the am player packs are going to be? Custom tournament stamp? Just wondering. Sounds like this tournament once again will be a blast! Thanks to all putting this on.

Forgive me if I am missing something, but I don't see a sign up link on there... Do I have to give my money to Joe or Kaleb, or can I sign up online somewhere?
