in most instances i have seen the person that caddies actually goes up and asks to be the caddie. so with that in mind, they are getting what they want by just being there and watching up close. no payment needed at all.

If the player goes out seeking a caddie then i think the player should give the caddie something, but really dont agree with cash. like a disc or something.
