IMO, if your playing in a series event you are supporting the series, pay the series fee.
If you play enough events to qualify for and play the series finals, that small fee has now become your "Bonus/added cash".

I agree with paying into the series, my point is that it is NOT ancillary as presented.
As a result, the payments from that series should not include cash for AMs.
