Howie Croy was one of my favorite Folfers to play with ever. I miss him to this day. haven't seen him in these parts sense 2005 or so. I think he is a Physical Therepist Yose. I would be great to see or hear from him again.

Yes Howie Is no a physical therapist here in Eureka. He is the head of his department! We both now have kids, so it is hard to get out of town. I believe the dbls shootout is the weekend of his daughters birthday.

His family bought a 26 acre parcel in the redwoods above HSU about one mile. We developed a 18 hole course with baskets, some cement tees....but his parents are going to retire there...so it isn't a "open to the public/free for all course". We often talk about having a camp-out tourney there, and you guys will get a heads up. Thinking one round at Redwood curtain and one round at the home stead. We call it Iydlebear..it is on Iydlebear road.

Indian Mary is a week away and for those dudes that stayed home last year because it was at Indian Mary you missed a great course. Here is your second chance. I think there was only one regular IM hole last year, see yall there.

Of the 20+ courses I've designed, this one just crawled up in the top 5.
Most of the course is the same as last year. Most of it.
The changes/additions will make it play a few strokes tougher.
Hole # 11, the long flat hole next to the Rogue is close to 600 feet.
All the leaves are gone, (Mama Cass) and the park is looking shaweeet.
I dragged a bunch of limbs out of the fairways, but my bestess friend kept dragging them back.
I think she heard me say, "Dougie will prolly roll the shit out of this course" and was thinking she was helping me out.
Hole #6, the one after the Myrtle Grove, will play on a mini mountain.
The county has temporarily placed about 50 yards of sand/dirt in front of last years setting.
So the basket will sit at the top of this mini mountain.
The new hole 13 will be a double mando island shot with a real sandy beach.
Adam and I have a goal of, NOT playing any of the "wheel" baskets.
Please call Mr. Joshua, Caveman Carlson, or Yose if you plan on bringing any chains.

It might just be the favorite this year, for a lot of us.
Do you remember holes 2, 3 and 4?
Hole 2 is in the middle of the field with a yurt close by. (longer than last year)
3 and 4 went west along the main highway.
If you want, you can pull in by the host's RV and move the cones and drive right to all 3 of those greens.
Thank you Aaron!

Yes, 2 rounds of 18 and yes, I-5, but I think it's exit 61.
Go west 12 miles off freeway on Merlin/Galice Highway.
You'll drive right by the Hellgate Canyon vista view.
You should pull over and check it out, but please, no sacrifices.
Park entrance is another 3 miles or so on the right.
Anybody else coming up?

Default Windy

I love this course but I hate to set it up, so I'm calling out to all you folks who love to pack baskets up mountains.
Please call Josh, Yose, Pina or post here if you can help in any way.
Showing up early with a truck or two would be huge.
I'm heading down soon to check the water levels, and make changes as/if needed.
Thanks
Yose
