Default White River Open - August 7-8

I couldn't find an existing thread talking about this. This is always a fun tournament and it's only about 10 days away.

Does anyone know if this tourney if full yet? I have a buddy who wants in, but heard a rumor it is already too late.

I think the tourney is full but you can call the TD and request to be put on a wait list. Event info can be found through the pdga tour/event page. It's always a good idea to check directly with the TD if you really want a spot.

I spoke with Tom and found out that the player check-in starts at 9:00am and the tourney should start by 10:00.

Who is winning? PDGA.com says it's a free-for-all still.

Kyle Crabtree shot a 22 in the final nine to pass Mike Leslie who went into it with the lead. Mike shot a crazy 15 under on Saturday from the red tees (on his birthday). I'm looking forward to seeing the rating on that one! I think Ming was third and Bjorn fourth. Chris Gilberts was fourth in Advanced, Bill Clark third, Jon Wills second and First Place advanced was Lou Tran. Tuffi won pro women and Mike Werth won Pro Master. And, oh yeah, John "Money" Munson won Intermediate!

Just like the players meeting on Sat said 10 am start but was closer to 11:15. This is one good reason why there needs to be more consistency in WA series events. And Whats up with the budget screen printed trophies?

I hate to complain, the 6th WRO rocked! However, that extremely late start on Saturday morning caused me to miss the first set of the Rush show at the White River Amphitheater that night. I am curious to see the rating on that nasty 45.

I think the ratings for the women will be adjusted. I believe the women and youngsters threw from the shorter tees on Sunday. Looks like they were rated as if they tossed from the longer positions.

Big Mike's 15 under was incredible. 16 birdies in 20 holes....in the freakin rain...on his birthday.

Thanks Tom and all the White River crew that put on such a great tournament. The course was in great shape and all the volunteers made it much easier to find those errant shots. I suggest letting us keep those orange flags you marked our OB throws with next time. I would have enough ctp flags for every hole during the FITT this winter.

Thanks again and great tourney!
