Exclamation What parks should we play for Oregon Team Disc Golf?

Teams are shaping up nicely so we should try and knock out the line up of parks to play this year. Here's the schedule again to start.

10/9-10/2010 Preliminaries @ Milo
10/23-24/2010 Week #1 Matches
11/6-7/2010 Week #2 Matches (DST ends)
11/20-21/2010 Week #3 Matches
12/4-5/2010 Week #4 Matches
12/11-12/2010 Week #5 Matches
MID WINTER BREAK
1/1-2/2011 Week #6 Matches
1/15-16/2011 Week #7 Matches
1/29-30/2011 Week #8 Matches
2/12-13/2011 Week #9 Matches
2/26-27/2011 OTDG Championships @ Milo

Here's the list of parks we played last year:
Sorosis
Dabney
Milo
Hornings
Timber
Pier
N Bonneville
Trojan

Possible courses to add:
Keizer Rapids
Cascades Gateway
Adair
Bryant
Tadmor
Waterloo
Willamette

My initial thoughts are that if we want to play the gold course at Hornings then we should try to make that week one so we have longer daylight to work with. And no Pinkal, we won't be using Rooster Rock this year.

I like the additions of Keizer, Adair, and/or Willamete. The only thing about Keizer is that it may still be quite overgrown so searching for discs could pose a problem, and I didnt notice much parking when i played. A great course though.

Absolutely we need to get Adair back on the schedule. Willamette a close second, although it is a bit further away. Have we considered add three temp holes to Champoeg and playing a day there? It would be nice to show the Park there that disc golf can bring in a lot of parking fees. Just a thought!

why no rooster? i think we got lucky last year playing some of the courses when we did. we should bump trojan up in case we get a wet winter this year and holes get drowned out. sirosis often has sun later in the winter and could be a good escape from the rain(or do they get snow?). maybe cut pier and bonneville for adair and willamette. cascade gateway is not worth traveling to IMO.

well you could add a few more to that Timber,Dabney,Rooster,Sorosis,HH Canyon,Pier.... it is just the way it is with the ratings, if you have an off day and the -15 just shoot's normal you are TOAST.

Not playing Pier would be silly.

I was thinking about the daylight and weather conditions for the earlier courses.

Why no Rooster?

I think we should avoid courses that have natural tees.

Alright Mr. Smart E. Pants, which courses that we are considering have natural tees? Let's see some contribution to the solution and not just lobbing bombs from the sidelines. Take a hint from Mr. Phillips, he did a great job.

Last year we dropped Adair from the schedule because it was "too far" to travel for a one-day event. And this year we have players clamoring for LESS P-town courses and MORE Valley courses.

I am loathe to remove N Bonneville from the list if we can get a second Gorge team formed to play on Saturdays. I know that we heard from The Bodys about wanting to join a team from the Gorge to help with carpooling. If they can swing a full team together I'd like to reward them with another event in the gorge. And with Rooster not playable as an 18-hole course we are already losing that pseudo-gorge course from the schedule.

If winter travel seems to be no problem this year, then I'd rather play Dexter than Willamette...or even 's...
