Default New disc golf game on the horizon

For those who haven't seen it on DGR, there's a new disc golf game that a guy has put together...a REAL game, not just some little side game in bundle. There's a downloadable demo available now, and the actual game should be out soon. You can check out the website here: http://www.discflightsim.com/ and you can find more details on it here: http://www.aadgonline.com/88/disc-golf-simulator-right-around-the-corner/

It looks way too complicated if you ask me. But then I think this about any video game more complicated than Ms. Pac Man...

Maybe after a couple of tournaments you might think it was ok. I thought it was pretty good but it is like the current game aim at the basket and throw it HARD and it always goes in. I did "disc"over the higher you aim the more the disc does it 's thing. It's knida like the 04 TW You can customize the terrain.

I'd say both of those are valid criticisms. I don't think it's overly complicated, but there's a whole lot of functionality that the designer put in there that doesn't seem as intuitive as we're used to. I think an improved GUI would help a lot, and also further integration of peripherals (mouse, game pad, etc.)

And Jub, I passed on your comment about the "throw hard and make it" aspect to Gordon, and he said that you can adjust the difficulty of the chains, move it up, and you have to hit dead center for the disc to stick. Turning off the aiming crosshairs will make it that much harder.

It's not a perfect game, by any means, and there are some wrinkles to be ironed out, but I think it's off to a great start.
