Default Series info leak

WA State Series rotation

March No event
April 17-18 Windy River (Originally in Mid March)
May 2nd weekend Kitsap Courses
June 5-6 LCO
July 24-25 Lamewood (Originally in late June)
August 14-15 Stelli
Sept 4-6 White River
Sept 25-26 Final Spokane

Now this is all good except the Stellicoom event is the weekend before Jet Wash.

As somone who was at the time involved with the Series planning "...because JWO was not going to be part of the series it would have at least a two week buffer before any other series event". Mike was elected Coord. by one vote (Guys) with this stipulation.

Now the series is recanting that position by stuffing 3 events in 6 weeks. Stelli could easly be played in March, late June. Oh, thats right! Mike is running FSO so he wants golfers jones-ing for play. Thats why the extended time frame. Clever Mike, Clever!

I personally think this is crap!!!

Guy has so much sweat equity at SeaTac and the series could give a shit about him or his efforts. i bet the next revelation will be the Pooled Combo of Tac and Lamewood. Then they can get Guy to prep the course for them too.

jub i read your post twice, and i am sorry to say that i still cant break the secret code that you are writing in! the only real thing i am picking up on is that you seem unhappy, but other than that the rest of your post doesnt really seem to be readable and understandable.

is the schedule EVER going to be ready???????

MY point is there are 52 weeks in a year, Right?
Then why is there a 7 week series gap (June 12th-July 24th)
and
Then why do almost half of the series events need to be stuffed into a 5 week period?

Sound like either poor planning or a lack of cohesive leadership

Could not find the Windy listed in March 2010
Added Windy Apr 17-18 (conflicts w/ GNWO)

Added May 8-9 Kitsap (conflicts w/ Taloali)

Added June 5-6 LCO (conflicts w/ WBDS, UltraGlide)

Could not find Lakewood listed in June 2010
Added July 24-25 Lakewood (conflicts w/ The Wash)

Added August 14-15 Steilly (conflicts w/ Calapooia Classic)

Added September 4-5 White River (dates corrected) (conflicts w/ Eugene Celebration)

Added September 25-26 Final Spokane (conflicts with Willamette Open)

Well, considering that each one of these good WA Series events conflicts with a great OR event, it looks like I won't be playing any WA Series this year.

It's seems sad that I put so much effort into the calendar, and yet all the good 2010 events are scheduled in conflict with each other, perhaps worse this year than any other year before.

please remember that Jub is not the spokesman for the series, or even affiliated with it anymore.

I agree Treelove, but sometimes a TD's life gets in the way of the "perfect" schedule.

I think its great that there is so many events going on. A td should not worry if his event is going to be in conflict with another event. Fact is, we are getting to the point where no matter what date you pick out of the year its going to be in conflict with multiple events.

Maybe we should think about replacing the word 'conflict' with 'choices' and now a player gets to look at multiple events during each week or month and make his or hers choice that is best.

I much rather play in the events that i like best than ever qualify for a series......so what. Why would i play in an event that does not interest me just to qualify? Hmm
