Eco-Wraith, Eco-Xcal, Eco-Destroyer, Champ Groove, and pro/champ blend CFR Katana (if it's considered 2009, and not 2010)

But, to pick a favorite . . . the Eco-Wraith, for sure. Only Wraith in my bag . . . goes far and predictable, often

Striker.

Everyone whose favorite new release is a ultra-high speed driver, I bet you'll have a new love next year- trading in your Bosses for the next flash in the pan. Boo.

I highly support all the love for the Stalker, though. I haven't thrown one, but seeing some awesome shots makes me want to try one.

Supply me a list of all discs that came out in 2009 and I'll turn it into a poll.

Polls can only have 10 options, so you'd have to pick 9 and then "Other." So far I see votes for the Boss, Katana, Stalker, Striker, Mako, Dart, Halo, Focus, and Ringer. (Zone & Cro are not '09 releases.)

Depends on the plastic. The R-Pro Cro came out in late 2009. It would be my vote for sure, if not for the Boss.

Dart, there is nothing like it for shots between 75-150 feet. So easy to control and make go right or left, it has changed my approach game completly.

Bombing a boss 500+ does not hurt its case either but still think a Xcal can achieve the same D.

Either way Dart is the way to go

I especially love the R-Pro Dart. The extra grippy material makes it feel super-controlable. Like you, I love it for short approaches. For windy conditions, or when a more stable disc is called for, I use the R-pro Cro. Those two discs alone have really helped my approach game.

I disagree with the Boss=x-cal comment. That may be true for bigger arms (I wouldn't know anything about that ), but I get an easy 75 - 100' farther with my Boss. My 10 year old son can't throw an x-cal more than 150' but has been getting between 270' and 300' with his r-pro boss.

I voted for Katana for two reasons: I've seen it add more D to people that throw in the 350' range than any disc besides the R-Poop Boss, but lasts longer.

The second reason: I didn't see the Stalker on the list until after I clicked. That is the best fairway driver released in years (unless you count something as fast as a Striker as a fairway driver).

The Boss is more of an '08 kind of thing since it was released late tourney season that year (September? I know they were out during USDGC, and PDGA approved in August), and the Halo is probably more of a 2010 thing (PDGA approved in December, and is just recently widely available stateside). That being said, the R-Pro Boss was definitely 2009 and it probably made the biggest D difference for some of the shorter throwers.

The Voodoo should probably replace the Boss or Halo option on there, and if anyone on the board throws a VP then that should maybe be an option as well. I've heard good things about the VP and Vibram's entry into discs, and the Voodoo has gained some huge fans over here.

The Boss is a game changer.

Whats up with the Halo ?
I check out a Gold Line the other day, and it had FLASHING !

A premium disc like that, made in Sweden, supposedly with the best stuff, and its still got a ridge on the lip that will slice a finger like a fresh boxcutter blade.
Who do they think they are, Innova.

Speaking of Goldline, what are your thoughts on it (after removing the flashing, of course)?

I only got to throw a Proto Goldline Core once.
