Default Disc Golf Dating Service

So I recently came up with this idea, albeit not a good one...probably...

There should be a doubles round every once in awhile (any course in the area will do) where single men AND ladies come together, play a doubles round and see if a spark can be achieved.

I only bring this up because it is hard to be meet bad ass ladies that love disc golf as much as me. My last girl stopped going to the courses with me because she "didn't see the point in playing fetch with myself when I could spending that time on a beach or shopping." Which in turn brought on many complaints between the two of us about why I felt it necessary to do play so much (yet she could spend hours upon hours playing The Sims, watching b.s. reality shows and spending money on multiple pairs of the same shoe in different colors.

Now, the only problem is how would one go about setting this up? Also, is they're enough ladies in the area that play disc golf that are also single? Most of the bad ass chicks I meet that huck are already snagged by somebody else.

Let the commentaries begin.

I'm guessing not. Disc golf, even more so than its spherical ancestor, is overwhelmingly a sport/game of white males. Hopefully it'll change, especially when/if more schools take it up as a P.E. unit or as a club sport, but that's the current situation.

Interesting how your mind connected the dots in that particular way.

And even fewer in THpokane, hell myself and about 8 others began Spokane's first Disc Club in 1975, an IFA Affiliate, and had the area to ourselves until well into the late 90s. Spokane even made playing DG in certain parks illegal. Try as we did we could never get Taylor Bressler to take us serious. Gordy moving to Thpokane, same time I moved to OR, was one of the best things for Spokane DG. However, every time I've played Thpokane since I've only encountered 1 woman, Dario's sister (her name escapes me), so good luck with the dating idea. Here's a twist to it, set up a mini course in a local watering hole, and take it from there. Good luck, getting anything done in Thpokane can take decades, lets face it all the streets in Thpokane aren't even paved yet.

Yeah, Spokane is a pain in the arse to get anything done in. For example, Sullivan Park. Mainly used only for drug deals, bums and the occasional walker. They've got a great area (bout 15 acres) that could make a great course. Try as I might, Matt Stone (head of Spokane Valley Parks and Rec) will not give the go ahead. He's willing to let me use the area behind the overflow parking @ Mission Park but who wants to play on a flat, no tree or elevation style area.

It seems that they are more concerned with keeping areas that disc golfers would love and maintain better then they're own maintenance people for stuff like drug deals, bums and the occasional walker.

As for chicks playing in Spokane, they just need to be turned on to disc golf. Lots of lady ball golfers in the area. Like 6 female disc golfers.

And is Darios sisters name Celeste by the way? Played a one disc tourney with her and Cole and Tom @ Corbin this year. She was definitely bad ass.

As a single male, I would definitely love to see more single females involved in the sport. I myself would love to have a dg girlfriend or at the very least a girl who at least supports it. my last g/f didnt at all. A majority of the dg girls out there now are married, or attached, mostly playing cause their man does. I dont think an event like this would be such a bad thing, but who knows what may happen?

Another guy who just doesn't dig the white males.

I should work me up a stable of discin' dolls, and put up a website for an "escort service." Maybe call it, "Different Strokes."

I don't understand why more women don't play disc golf. I can't understand why everyone doesn't play. It's just so much fun!

Well, the largest Women's division in DDGA history was because the TD promised a softball team sponsorship if they showed up with a certain amount of women... Deaf women is hard enough, so maybe TD of a certain tournament can work on relations with a womens sports team to come out for lessons and a tournament with guys as their caddies... omg i've seen this idea kinda before... hmmm... anyways, get a whole team or two out there to learn the sport and single guys as their caddies, heck even let the ladies pick their caddies from a line up.... just giving u guys ideas, i really want you guys to feel the way I do, I love my woman and my son, they love disc golf, whew...

I think Snap's onto something there. Women athletes will have the confidence to try DG and know they'll do it, and do it well. They won't even blink. I see a lot of women try DG and not put much into it. These don't get much out of it and you probably don't see them again. A lot of them really aren't too keen on having a man show them anything. It's hard to know how much you can say to them, or how even to word any encouragement. But, it could spread like wildfire among women already involved in team sports. Once these are into it, they'll do any possible spreading among their friends. Not every man or woman gets into DG, but it has to be a higher percentage of men, the males here being culturally led into competitive mindsets. If one person on a team gets into DG, he/she's going to drag a friend or three along. That foursome will goad a few more onto the course.

I think the same would hold true for moving DG into wider representation in other-than-white American communities.

Dude !
:lightbulb: !

Since the sport is all just horny white dudes, why not turn the Lucky Mud into a brothel ?
Forget about the female course company, then I would just have to hold back my farts and effin c word curses when I miss 10 foot putts, but hey, after a few rounds, a nice hummer , then some dinner and some TV.
Friggin' Nirvana.

Think about it.

At my school we go to my local disc golf course in P.E. But most kids just use it as a chance to have a smoke during school...
