Default Week 5 at Timber

Starting the official week 5 thread. Like Bob said elsewhere, our next match is this weekend, then two weeks off for the holidays.

Keith,
You just wish you could share me. First of all, you're too jealous to share. Second, like Bob said, nobody wants you to share.
Looking forward to a cold day of golf at Timber with my friend Keith. Go Vikes!

Does TDG have an inclement weather policy? Looks like a chance of freezing rain Friday night/Saturday morning.

Yeah, that might make for some treacherous roads.

It's my favorite weather to drive the Carver Curves!

What would this mythical inclement weather policy look like if we had one?

...the real question is, when and where will a decision be made concerning bad weather and canceling this weekends event?

I would hate to make the trip to Timber to only find things have been called off.

That being said, I will have no problem making the trip as my vehicle is equipped for snow travel.

If the weather is bad enough, and its determined to be not safe for driving, I wont make my team go. I would rather have a TDG shutout than to risk any of my team members well being.

If you can manage the roads then go play golf, if you can't then stay home. Seems pretty easy to me.

People come on you chain up or take the bus. Tri-met runs to Estacada couple times a day and i cant believe your letting the TV news scare you like old people. look out snow coming and you better stock up on Bottle water and TP for the bung hole.

I'm going to try to be there for sure... but you are out of your friggin mind if you think I am going to take the bus to Estacada from NE Portland. Snow doesn't scare me in the least... a half an inch of ICE on the roads is another story altogether.

Or try a bus from Hillsboro...

Default Icy conditions..

Someone brought some de-icer for last years tourney. Any possibility of
getting something to make the T-pads playable on Saturday if it is icy?
We can play from the dirt otherwise...

Cheers.

AS always during winter golf, watch your footing and take relief if necessary!
