Exclamation WEEK 3 at MILO McIVER STATE PARK 11/21/09 & 11/22/09

THIS IS TO REMIND YOU THAT THE NEXT MATCHES START EARLIER THAN THE FIRST WEEK AGAIN AS WE HAVE LESS DAYLIGHT TO WORK WITH.

CAPTAINS SET LINEUPS AT 8 AM!!! DO NOT BE LATE!!!

WE WANT TO TEE OFF THE FIRST ROUND AT 8:30AM!!

We may be held up at the gate so please be ready to go for Milo. We will have the last weekend of the 36 hole tourney layout available to us. So I am thinking about playing TDG using that layout. West side in the AM and East side in the PM.

Anybody want to research the SSA for these courses? Flash?

Oh, but J-Low, we can't use those layouts. You said at the beginning that we would only play on courses with concrete teepads... (said in my best whiny voice, NOT to sound like Shupp, Pizzel, or Hagerty. )

That course has concrete pads...

Hey King Jordan what is the stroke count for Milo and what course will we be playing. Will you be out there and will we play am or pro tee's. Could you send Dan(the bitch)Denny out there to clean the tee's and pick up the trash since that is all he is good for. chop chop we need you to dictate to us what to play and what to do.

Milo has kept out the BSF/Hab-Rec 36 basket layout so I think we need to take advantage of that and play those layouts. West in the AM and East in the PM.
I know that some of the added holes do not have tee pads, so be careful when you tee off just like you should for every other non-tee shot you take on the course in winter conditions. If you absolutely do not want to tee off from the tee area due to mud, then you can move as far back as you need to (in a straight line from the pin through the tee pad) in order to have safe footing. On hole East 8 you can tee from the road and West 8 you can tee from the path intersection area if you need pavement.

As far as handicaps go: We can play the Pro pads with an 8 RP/stroke handicap or we can shoot from the AM pads with a 9 RP/stroke handicap. Which do you want to do?

East layout AM/Pro pads: 1, 6, 7, 10, 13, 14 & 15. The rest all have 1 pad.
West layout AM/Pro pads: 2, 5, 6, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16 & 17. The rest all have 1 pad (hole 15's pro pad is brutal so I'm not counting that one...)

We can do different handicaps for each round if you'd like to mix it up for Pro & AM tee pads...like say West Pro in the morning and East AM in the afternoon. At least we should still have enough light to get it all in before dark.

all pro pads keep us on the 1's that are used more (less chance of slimey pad).

Yes but will it be outweighed by the crying over the handicap...that is the question!

Is it worth the higher handicap to play from the long pads...

Let the biathcing begin!

I'm not sure that you are completely certain what the difference really is between the 2 choices so let's take an example from your match this weekend against Dark Horse:

Pro Pads:
Carl T Thorne vs Erika Best = 24 strokes
(974-777)/8=24.625

Am Pads:
Carl T Thorne vs Erika Best = 21 strokes
(974-777)/9=21.889

whichever you decide oh mighty exalted 1 we shall all live with your choices as they r fine with me

24 strokes 21 strokes potatos/tomatos....

i think the longer course would give him a better chance to make up strokes as it is farther overall distance....but what ya gonna do. Hope 4 decent weather and huk baby huk

Stu I know you and Jeff Hemmerling would love to play those am Master tee's that you played at the Hab-Rec but so I dont get hurt I would say the safe tee's are the pro pads. I forget that most of team putt this are am masters except for Jeff Hagerty maybe next year Eastside crushers will have to get Hagerty on our team. I like taking players away from Hemmerling like Redfern so Hagerty if Hemmerling drives you nuts then we would love to have you on our team next year.

Team Skinny votes for pro pads

After this they are yanking the tourny baskets so we should take full advantage and play as much golf as possible

I'm assuming you are confident that your tee shot is under the basket so that you don't have to throw from a slippery lie in the grass? I'm ok with all pro pads just so we don't have to play a pitch and putt course. (right Haggerty?)
