wow. i love ole's. always have. didn't mean to sound like a sour puss... ya'll travel more, so naturally the cost is more...

Turnout was poor and it rained the entire first round. Kirk took first in Pro, Jerome (local) Adv, and Teresa Int.

How poor? That's a bummer, but five days notice probably didn't help. I hope to make some of the rest, I love me some OLE.

what is OLE? are these tournements or some kind of league? whats it stand for? where to sign up?

Oregon Liquid Environment tournaments are one day tournaments of 36 holes. In the past they were played mostly at temporary courses in and around Lane County; last year they were at mostly permanent courses in Eugene, Corvallis and Albany. This year, you can see the schedule on the original post in this thread. The old OLE website is still viewable at http://www.ole.orsdiscgolf.com/index.htm but has not been updated for this year. Previously, OLEs were unsanctioned events, but it sounds like some of this years events may be sanctioned.

Fun tournaments, cool people, good courses! Sign up early on the day of at the park. I'm going to start a new thread for the next OLE at Waterloo on Nov. 7th.

Don't forget about OLE this Saturday at Waterloo! If you are on Facebook, I have created an OLE group with calender reminders

The first event only had 12 turn out, I think for various reasons, but it was super fun Looking forward to seeing all you awesome folks at Waterloo Saturday!

I talked to Tom this weekend and he said that Trojan is a go. I also mentioned that he should jump online more and let people know that the Ole series is in full force...

i can't make it, but you portland folk out there should try your best to get out there. i got to watch my ducks stomp zona.

Trojan is a go... the Series is a go! It's been fewer numbers this year, which ends up being super fun and fast rounds... but the more the merrier! Make it out if you can, we'd love to see you!
