Adair has no concrete tee pads so if we have to play that course I would want to play it in October (Willamette is better).
The single biggest problem with Hornings is that Team Disc Golf has always been free to play. If we went to Hornings, they'd expect every player to fork over $3. True, we could have the entire group there at the same time (like on Sunday December 6th) but I don't know about the cost/player.

Likewise if we hold the first event (preliminary ratings generator for non-current PDGA players) at Milo the week after Hab/Rec we might still have the two 18 hole courses in the ground so we could all play at the same time.

I choose Pier park over Trojan because last year they pulled 1/3 of the baskets out for the entire winter season. We got to play that course only on the first week and could never go back.

We will never play Willamette and you are high or deluded if you think that slick uneven paver stones make for better traction than the pads at Adair. If we drop Adair then we won't use any valley courses this season.

I forgot that Cascades Gateway has no bathrooms. THAT COURSE IS OUT!

Leverich can work because we are splitting TDG into 2 groups of 8 teams each day. That means all we need is 12 holes to play a TDG match. If we grow beyond 16 teams then Leverich would need to be dropped.

Sure but most DGers that I know buy the 2 year parking pass that is only $20/year and $5/extra car...

What's the Horning's yearly pass...$70? AND winter golf covers the change of the year. So the pass option for Hornings would be $140?!?!?

Why not just play Pier a second time in lieu of Leverich/Rooster? Unless of course they pull the baskets again.

Is anyone else worried about waking up on the 15th of February without testicles?

I like it....except for the inclusion of Adair. The pads are really, really, really, really slippery in the winter. I think it would be safer to play a course with no pads as opposed to playing Adair.

I would also swap dates for Pier and Trojan.

Maybe Horning's would be willing to work out a deal....not that i can afford a $70 pass right now anyway.....

Maybe your wife will let you borrow the pants that day to hide your loss.

And get the pants dirty?

When I told her TDG was almost here she changed her gmail status to "disc golf widow."

I'm not.

To stay on topic, I don't care where we play... I'm just stoked to play some Team Golf. Woot woot!

Playing Leverich doesn't seem fair for most groups if there is a handicap...EX. Bob getting 10-15 strokes on anyone at Leverich...Bob could throw lefty and still win by a handful of strokes. My vote no Leverich...lets play that horrible course everyone hate...MILO. What is so bad to playing a good course twice.

Okay Jordan It will cost to play at Horning but we still pay to play at state parks. I will ask Bob what he would charge for us and I will find a way to pay for it. so if I can work this out would you add Horning to the list that way you can save your $4 for a bottle of good Gin and I have a free keg a beer that I could use for the event some good winter beer with lots of good hops.

Adair is a good course but no concrete and the rubber tee pads suck big time and when it rains they are worse. Leverich is a small course with walking paths all over and if you add other people playing besides TDG it would be a nightmare. I played on a saturday and the place was packed and we had to wait many times for walkers and bike riders. I would rather play a course twice instead of waisting gas money on Adair and playing a smaller course like Leverich(Rooster would be better than both these courses).

Once again this is not a slam they are both fun courses but I think there is better choices than these to pick from.

What? Are YOU saying YOU are afraid to play Bob? As well you should be, but not JUST at Leverich. I'm not in favor of Leverich myself and would much prefer a double trip to Milo and/or Dabney.

Cool how about this:

I like this proposal:

October 10-11 - Milo McIver (supports all in 1 day)
October 24-25 - Pier
November 7-8 - Trojan
November 21-22 - Sorosis
December 5-6 - Hornings (supports all in 1 day)
December 12-13 - Dabney
January 2-3 - Milo McIver
January 16-17 - Rooster
February 13-14 - Timber
February 27-28 - Leverich (tourney layout of 13 in long positions)

Finals back at Milo, right? (supports all in 1 day)

This allows the two leagues to meet three times as one giant force of disc golf fury--which I think would be very cool. Imagine cross-league match-ups based on cumulated points........kind of like a finals warm up. Oh, and Adair's wet maxi-pads and driving distance away suck. Also, Leverich can actually be make to be quite difficult. Check out the top scores in the tourneys recently held there. And as for the whole cost issue...I would be willing to bet everyone involved could pull together to help the less fortunate out. Sell a disc you don't use or something...

End the debate.

No Bob not afraid of you...Loved playing against you at Milo for a TDG event and gave you a 20 stroke handicap...and yes I did win not by much..1-2 strokes. If Amanda was on our team this year I would have used her for the example. No hate to you Bob much love
