well there is a much longer story to go along with this disc....but lets say it was in with a bunch of discs i had been trying sell off and it got put away haphazardly and it ended up with a small warp in the flight plate. I tried dashboarding it and the warp stayed, so it lost its MINT status. plus i have wanted to put 1 back in my bag after the 1st 1 i had got lost after 2yrs of use......

So it is #7 of the 8 i had from the original run at 1 time i had 4 blue 2 red 1 silver and 1 black. the 1st 1 i threw was a common blue with no sigs on it.

This 1 however is a black with both Kenny and Barry's sigs on it.....

and i still have 1 blue Mint left with just Barry's sig on it.

excellent idea, there are various ways to make a round more fun... I recently showed up to play with a friend and told him to pick 5 discs and leave the rest behind, we played a round with only 5 discs each, helped us learn those 5 discs even more, then the next time it was only 3... I would be down for that, next time i'm in Oregon though...

How so? By saying that I doubted that you had ever bought three of the same Innova discs at once? I don't think so.

I had three brand new DX XD putters. All three acted differently over the course of practicing multiple afternoons. They were all the same color, same weight, and (obviously) same mold, purchased on the same day. One was very overstable, one only slightly so, and one that was slightly understable. Thing is, it wasn't until I was 30 to 40 feet out that I actually started to notice.
Well, Mitch... I would be more likely to believe that this was due to user error rather than anything else but I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this. I have nearly a dozen XDs (all the same weights) and I can take any of them and they all fly the same way - even from as far out as 150 feet.

Quote:
This is what started me on my quest to replace the XD. And now I have, with a Gateway Wizard.
OK... if you say so. More XDs for me, I guess.

And, for the record, at any given time you will find Discraft, Innova, Gateway, and Lightning discs in my bag. Why? Because the discs I throw from those companies work best for me. I don't hate Innova - or any other manufacturer. I just have found that Discraft discs are more consistent in the discs I have purchased.
Again, I am more likely to believe that this is due to user error than anything else. I do not believe for a second that Discrap is any more consistent in the real world.

Excuse me... I almost couldn't read that paragraph because I was too busy doing this and this

when i was still learning how to throw less than 3 years of throwing "discs" i used to play round's with just my putter, i was always amazed at how well i played some of my rounds, this was always at timber, the best i have shot was -4 with a putter on the orig. placements.

Default Gimmick Round Thought...

You both/all show up with 10 discs, your opponent/opponents get to select 5 discs to remove from your bag and...

You throw the round with what's left, preferably with beer on the line...

Might need to have rules about leaving one mid, one putter one driver, but beyond that...get evil!

This sounds good to me when where and how many people want to play for name brand bragging rights put your plastic where your mouth is and lets bring the noise.

I used to have 5 or so - down to one, but no sigs besides Barry and Ken on the card sealed in the bag...I do have the first spectator skeet roc ("07, "08 sealed in bag with Climo, Schulz, and Feldberg sigs on the disc - that one's pretty sweet...

I used to carry a bunch of different discs on the course. Now I'm down to just one driver for every shot since the rest of my bag is full of the pamphlets I give out to people on the course explaining why they should wise up and switch to the brand I use.

oh i forgot what else is in my bag
biking arm sleeve - to keep my arm warm and lower the risk of injury - just saw another freaky disc golf injury to a friend's bicep, looks like he just did 100 bicep curls at like 100 pounds...
nail clippers - cant grip a disc right if one of my nails is too long...
matches - never leave home without it, sucks trying to light a fire at the campground without a match
glow sticks! - oh yeah baby! glow golf time!
hand warmers - for those cold mornings
Tiger balm - for those sore arms
chapstick - no one likes looking at your chapped lips looking like herpes... ewww
sunblock - it's hot down here yo!
towels - for that one day you need them...
minis - sucks borrowing minis don't it... and ofc have a few extra to give out to those neewbs who don't have one.
pencils - in case the TD hands out pens instead of pencils in the players pack...
scorecard clipboard - guy snapped mine in half at nationals, good thing walmart sells them for $1 something...
PDGA handbook - for those cheaters to read it black and white
Hearing aide batteries - to enjoy hearing all those gross noises those hearing people make heh...
Raffle money - always good to go!
huk lab sweat bands - so sexy so sexy...
i'll add to this if i forgot something....
This is not a thread drift, since this is all in my bag...

Ok Here goes my 30 minutes of typing:

Starting from left to right..

Outside pocket putters
Quest Odyssey
Discraft Soft Magnet

Wham-O Putter *for the times I want to feel like a pro!*

Inside the bag:
Leopard DX 147 *turn-over shots 250 and under*
Leopard Star 150 *turn-over shots under 250 if trees are in the way*
Leopard Pro 172 *Straight shots under 250*
Leopard Star 172 *turn-over shots under 250 where I need it to fade back at the end*

Roc Ontario 179 *straight upshots or hard left-right hooks around trees etc..*
Roc Worlds SB 180 *Standard upshot disc small fade at the end / drives under 200 like 6 at Vance*
Gator Star 175 *hard hyzer short distance upshots like hole 3 at Dabney throw #2*
DGA Squall 175?? *not sure, just testing it out, threw it and it seems pretty straight and better with wind than Ontario Roc*

Beast Pro 164 *beat all the way up, for straight then turnover at end shots .. like 11 on Dabney*
Sidewinder Champ 150 *Unbelievably worn in, for super hard turn-over drives I just lost it on the bank of hole 11 Dabney I want it back BADLY!*
Valkyrie Star 150 *Turn-over with some fade back at the end, that is if I don't throw it too hard*
Teebird Champ RCO 150 * for shots like hole 2 at Pier .. and hole 3. Turn over and stay over*

Beast Star 172 *Straight shots 325-350, small fade if thrown right*
Valkyrie Pro 168 *s-curve drives or long drives where I turn it over and want it to stay over*
Valkyrie Star 175 *Straight shots small fade at end, very nice S-curve for my throw! 350-375*
Boss R-Pro 164 *Not sure exactly what to do with this, great for rollers, nice s-curve, not sure where it fits in yet*

Firebird Star 172 *Sidearm accuracy shots and lots of approach scenarios, like under trees/bushes etc.. also short holes like 12 at Dabney where I need it to hook at end*
Groove Champ 172 *Not sure where it fits in yet, but does great s-curve shots and fades back less than Boss, great distance for me 375+*
Wraith Pro 170 *Great S-curve long driver for me*
Wraith Star 172 *well worn, multi-purpose long distance .. love this disc!*
Boss Star 168 * Hard hyzers like 4 at Dabney .. LOVE this disc!*

Outside pocket to right:
KC Pro Roc 180 *I never use it, I just forget to take it out*

Yes, I have mostly Innova, but that is only because I can't seem to get Discraft to go near as far as my Innova discs. I have zero preference. I would play with all Wham-O discs if I found ones I liked. I have several and they sucks ... except the putter is decent. I know, I know ... I have many repetitive discs and I could clear maybe 2-3 discs out of my bag. I could lose the DX leopard and the pro wraith and be none the worse for wear. I keep them in there for times when I might lose a disc. I will throw those.

I also have some of that wood powder resin stuff to keep my discs dry in the winter, 2 markers, 4 towels, 2 water bottles, Sharpie for marking poles when I get an ace . Chain gang tag that I have never played anyone for. My bag I got at Goodwill for $6.99 and it works great. It is a sparkley "Glam" black color and I use Innova backpack straps and it works great without having ot pay over $100 for a similar bag new.

New to the bag since I just lost one the other day at Downriver:
174 ESP Flash
174 L.E. ESP Venom (to replace my beat beyond beat, doesn't do anything well Pro D Venom)
174 ESP Zone (Finally a putter I can put some mustard on.

Soon to be in the bag:
176 Crystal Z Buzzz (just waiting for it to come in to Rapid Fire)
176 Elite Z Wasp (old one is getting beat and it's nice to have a replacement)
174 ESP SS Avenger (The Elite Z version is too skip prone on hard surfaces)
171 Elite Z Stalker (I'm a new disc whore and really, who wouldn't want a long range Buzzz?)
174 Pro D Ringer (Fills the gap up between my Challenger and my Zone for stability)
174 Soft APX (need one to replace my worn, warped one)
174 Elite X Stratus (definite roller since I was using my SS Avenger for it and now I use that disc for long turnovers and even longer hyzer flips)

Never to be purchased again:
Any Pro D discs that aren't putters
Any disc under 171 grams

Oh yeah, and I've ordered the Gateway Ozark Backpack. Thing is tits.

Saw those bags at the 2009 BSF, interesting. Way to big for my needs, but interesting.

Wow, one day 58 posts so far, I love reading Innova vs. Discraft matches, what I always liked was when I first started throwing all Discraft people would always give me crap and say "why are you being biased to Discraft" or things in this vain but I would rarely see anyone question the manufacturer bias of someone who throws all Innova.

My own reasons for being all Discraft, simply put, at one point in time found a great lineup of 6 molds that I loved to death and it served all my shot making needs, and I just decided I would just stick to learning and mastering those molds, changing plastics and weights to get different shot types, and I simply have no current interest in trying out new molds.... Oh, all that and I'm just a bit stubborn in general.

My playing bag.
