Can anyone tell me why this tourney is so bloody expensive? $80 for MA1 is the highest cost I've seen yet. Is this because of the added expense of chairlifts?

You are correct, lift tickets for two days adds $30 or so to the total fee.

Mt Bachelor charges us $36 per player in fees that cover 3 days of lift tickets and the players party w/pasta feed at the top lodge.
ALL fees are stated on the flyer located at www.centraloregondiscgolf.com

YES, it is expensive.......BUT it is very consistant with the other KOM events.

Ask around, You WILL get your $ worth.

Ski Resorts are NOT cheap to play on.....unless, of course, you own one.

Sponsors are stepping up BIG TIME this year............

Much thanks to KEEN, DGA and MANY more who are helping the Rebels make this event a HUGE success.

Tough mountain courses - check
Premier ski resort - check
Lava & rocks to further chew your old beat plastic - check
Epic scenery - check
Great players party - check
Rebels are THE hosts/TD's - check
Sweet players packs - check
Multiple side games w/ lots-o schwag - check

The total experience is well, priceless.

Seriously this is a must attend event if you even remotely enjoy hiking in the mountains and playing mountain golf.

Default Seattleite looking to carpool

I hope everyone is as excited for next weekend as I am! This will be my 2nd Lava Launch, and I've daydreamed about this tournament several times a month ever since I watched Mt. Bachelor shrinking in my rearview mirror around this time last year. It's a superlative tournament, in a majestic setting, and very well run. In fact, there's only 1 thing I hope is different from last year: the 7-hour drive from Seattle.

Ideally, I'd like to carpool with one/some of the players travelling down from Bremerton, Bellingham, Lakewood, or University Place. However, there are only a handful of players from NW WA playing in the launch, so I also want to see if anyone is interested in meeting up with me in the Portland area or in Biggs, OR (where Walla Walla & Tri-cities folks will turn off I-84 to head South down 97).

If any of these options may work for you or someone you know, please PM me or call Three-eight-6-3-six-6-three-8-1-four. If not, I'll see you at the Launch! Peace,

-Kyle

Today, I will be walking a NEW 9 holes with the Mtn Manager.
If he approves the layout....we will then have 54 holes.

This will give us 4 start points for tee times.
Even though we are playing more holes we SHOULD be able to have better flow.
(flow of play that is )

Rebel Leader (Ryan Lane) is designing the IncrediBowl courses THIS WEEKEND.
He is putting an IncrediBowl amount of work into this "Tour" (KOM).

It would be awesome for ALL of us to remember to thank him for his hard work when you see him.

See YOU at the Mtn.

That's very generous of you to do that, especially considering you don't even generally PLAY tournaments - THANK YOU!

It's the Latin word for "ever".

I've made so many DG maps now that I have an Excel spreadsheet template that calculates the headings and distances and sets up all the point data... makes it a lot easier.
