Well it'd be the only way to get Eric out to a tourney that's farther than 12 minutes from his house! hehe

I can't wait for this one. I printed out my registration form and will be sticking it in the mail tomorrow. I love me some Calapooia Classic.

Default Course Conditions

Went to Bryant and Waterloo yesterday. The courses are very overgrown. Obviously the open areas of Bryant are beautiful and long, but the wooded holes are way over grown and expect to spend lots of time looking for discs. then we went to Waterloo and it was slightly better, only there are very little open holes, and I decided to wear shorts which meant alot of disc searching while getting stinging nettles all over my legs. Suprisingly no one lost a disc, and we ran into a park ranger who told us that there was going to be a lot of work done before the tourney and that they were getting some kind of attachement to tow around in the woods to knock it all down. Looking forward to the tourney and in no way is this meant to be an attack at anyone just a heads up as to what to expect.

Quite a bit of work has been done in the past week at both courses. Look for course conditions to keep getting better as work will be ongoing right up to the tournament.

Heh, I figured as much, but with people being so damned impatient these days, you just never know what their next unreasonable expectation is going to be

If you were able to sign up on line, does that not mean there is still room in the tournament?

The current registration list at pdga.com is controlled by the TD and is independent of you signing up at pdgasignup.com

I would say in theory yes, however with two pools and the registration limit set at total of players in both pools; one pool can fill before the registration limit is met.

We are approaching that scenario here...
11 spots left in the Pro/Int pool
21 spots left in the Advanced pool

If you're planning on playing in the tournament and are not registered you know what you should do, right.

Thanks for the update, and I figured since online it has been showing 118 registered for a while now that maybe it might let me sign up and I could have been too late and it might have signed me up for the wait list... also I am excited for my first calapooia classic, so consider my question a bump if need be.

So it looks like we just need a few more people to make up a few divisions.

We need 2 more to sign up for masters and intermediate women to make them official.
We're also need 3 more Open women.

So if you know of someone who plays in these divisions that's not signed up yet, poke them with a stick!!

Not to worry we are allowing the divisions with fewer than 4 players.

After a few drops and more sign ups we are at 130 players as of 7/15.

Pro/Intermediate pool has 6 spots available.
Advanced player pool has 16 spots available.

I just opened up another spot in Intermediate and took one of those advanced spots away. Ready for my MA1 debut.
