and we still havent heard much about the rpro roc and boss?? I want reviews on these before going into anything else...

Anybody seen the R-pro Bosses out there yet? I had heard that they would be offering this mold in lighter weights.

I've seen some R-Pro Bosses around here, lightweight. I don't throw Bosses so can't really comment on them...they seem like they can fly far, but I think they'll beat up super fast with the huge wing and soft plastic.

163 G R-Pro Boss rocks, if you don't try too hard. Jordan has ripped the snot out of the 150, as well.

Personally, I can't wait to try the R-Pro X-Caliber....

Anyone notice that R-Pro driver plastic feels just like Dragon/Hydra plastic? I wonder if it floats?

I love my 162 R-pro boss... threw it 8-10 times at De la during the AM weekend, and most of my BEST drives were the r-pro boss. Its really good for about 400 depending on your arm. Throw it with just a touch of hyzer and it will stand up and run for days.

I wondered that too, so I filled up my sink and dropped my 165g R-Pro Dart in the water. Verdict: it ALMOST floats, but no.

You will note I said R-Pro DRIVER plastic.

The Dart and R-Pro Aviar are very rubbery and floppy, not like a Dragon or Hydra, more like a Gumputt or Blowfly.

The R-Pro DRIVER, as in the Boss, feels just like the Dragon/Hydra, and the same stiffness.

I will get back to you with float test results on a 163 R-Pro Boss. Thanks for the Dart float test results!

P.s. The r-pro bosses go...far really far. I had a couple throws with mine in the mid 500's today, just got it so still trying to learn it. Seems on par with my semi stable first run boss. the r-pro weights in at 167 and consistently was 30 feet longer than the rest of my bosses, throwing a normal golf shot not just going for distance. Fast and flat, but they glide!

PS: Thanks for the new plastic, Innova, too bad it's totally inconsistent, as usual. I will just call them:

R-Pro-D = driver (stiff)
R-Pro-R = putter (rubbery)

Or, whenever I crush the drive with it, or nail the putt with it, I will just yell out "Darr-Pro!"

Dave D posted on the PDGA board that the lighter weight R-Pro Bosses did float but I think they had to be less than 150gs. He also said that they were making them down to 130gs.

The Cro is the same plastic as the Dart and Aviar. Rubbery.

I've had the R-Pro Boss for a few weeks now. I haven't added it to my bag but it flys pretty well when tested in a field. It's more overstable than you would think for a 162g disc. I can still throw my <170g destroyers and wraiths further. I know Gwillim threw mine a few times but I don't remember exactly what he thought. I think its stability surprised him as well.

The plastic feels really good but it seems like it would get destroyed with a full power dirve into a tree. It seemed to hold up pretty well in today's heat.

I would agree that it's tackiness is very much like the dragon/hydra plastic but I don't think it feels nearly as hard.

I bought a couple of 150 gram R-Pro Bosses from HeroDisc. One I haven't thrown yet and the other has been thrown twice. I let some dude give it the first throw and he shanked it into some rocks, which took a chunk out of it. He then threw it again and promptly lodged it into the highest limb of an oak tree.

That being said, the plastic is super soft and damages easily.

It is clearly safe to say you gave "that dude" a defective disc. Shame on you.
