I have heard of a couple fours in casual rounds. The tourney record is -3. And Avery has a 5 or 6 but with a couple mulligans. These are scores I have heard so they could be inaccurate. the course is looking great with a bunch of areas off the fairway being cleared out. This could be the year the tourney record is broken.

Shot a -1 out here at Sedgley Woods in Philly. 5 birdies, 2 bogeys, and 1 double bogey (drive hit a tree and bounced into dense foliage). I still can't believe how much this course reminds me of a lot of NW courses. This is my first time ever shooting at or under par, and I am incredibly happy.

Not a personal best, but possibly a sport best: Barry Schultz just threw an 1100 rated first round at the Vibram Open... has that milestone ever been reached before? I've looked through quite a lot of tourney results and never run across anything that broke into the 1100's.

I know those are unofficial results since it's an ongoing event, but I assume that on such a well-established layout the ratings are probably pretty fixed. What makes this feat even more impressive is that his round is on a course with an SSA around 62 -- not a short, easy course where a couple miracle shots can cause a huge rating swing.

I'm pretty sure it hasn't happened yet - there has been a lot of specualtion about when/if someone would hit that milestone.

That is SICK!

Way to go, Barry!

Barry's round is the 5th 1100 rated round I believe. Other players who have shot 1100 are Brian Skinner, Brian Schweberger, Ken Climo, and Matt Orum. If you want to see something ridiculous check out this win by Kenny from April this year: http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=892...ratings=1#Open

Aleksey Bubis averaged over 1000 for the tourney...Kenny beat him by 27 strokes!!!

The 1117 round started with a par, then 23 consecutive 2's. Then he came back the next day and started with 7 more 2's. 30 straight, so insane!

Shot my best round to date at North Park (Seattle) the other day... -9.
I would really like to join the under par club out at Seatac though, so that's my goal for the rest of the year... guess I'll have to actually make it out there a bit more often.

It might be a while before I can claim the under par club @ Sea Tac, but I did shoot +2 in the final 9 at Jet Wash. Holes #11-18,7. There is definetely some birdie opps the other half of the course!

Finally cracked 1000. Shot a 32 at Leverich (13 holes) for a 1007 on Saturday afternoon. Beat my previous best of 993 (33) from the Bad Monkey Open.

Sadly, that did not carry over into the Final 9 and am only glad that they don't rate that. There was some serious ugliness for a few holes there.

Shot -3 at Wortman today: 4 birdies and 1 bogey. Then played the "back 12" for the first time and got -3 there too.

(By the way, there are TWO toe boards marked #15!)

Cool New PR at My Nemesis

My bag was still full of mountain discs fresh from Mt. Bachelor. I played Willamette Park last night and shot a 51 my best ever there. It was bogey free with deuces on 6, 11 and 14. I also had a nice park job 2nd shot on #3, a long par save after tough rollaway on Mt. Willamette (16) and a nice 40’ putt for par on 18. Putting was very solid and sure helps the scoring, though I did miss a couple other birdie looks.

Good Shooting Dave! That score will play in early October. I have been practicing Putting like crazy and it sure does help, when you are able to get rid of all those bogeys and pick up a birdy or three.

Came back to school in Tacoma ready to blast away my old personal bests at Steilacoom, shot a 55 on the NW course and a 53 on the SE course beating my old personal bests by 3 and 2 strokes respectively, though I know that I'll soon go much lower there.
