Default Farrel-McWhirter Open House

King County Eastsiders,

Here's an opportunity to make your voices heard. There will be an open house/discussion on the future of Juel Park's next-door neighbor next Sat the 23rd. Unfortunately that's the same date as Freeze In The Trees, but there is a survey you can fill out...took me a minute. Here's the forwarded message from the parks dept:

From: Recreation Office <recreationoffice@redmond.gov>
Date: Mon, Feb 11, 2013 at 3:55 PM
Subject: Farrel-McWhirter Open House
To: Recreation Office <recreationoffice@redmond.gov>

Please join us at Farrel-McWhirter Farm, 19545 NE Redmond Road, on Saturday, February 23 from 2-4pm to help shape the future of this unique park. The Parks Department is beginning the Master Plan process and your input is needed!

If you are unable to attend the Open House, but would still like to provide feedback, please complete this short survey:

There is no mention of disc golf in the survey.
It doesnt seem to me that they have any plans to add disc golf to the park in the future.
Are you thinking that if a few disc golfers showed up and intimidated them by waving brightly colored plastic back and forth, they would consider hacking down some forest back in there so we could get our frolf on ?
Like, a real Juel back nine thats not at Dans house.

Jack, do you not see the suggestion box in there that asks what would you like to see at the park?

It never hurts to put a bug in the ear of local gubmint.
