Default Battle at the Barracks Fore
BATTLE AT THE BARRACKS
FORE!

Hello fellow disc golfers! Please join us for the 4th annual Battle at the Barracks. It will be taking place on June 1, 2013 at Fort Vancouver National Park, located near the heart of Vancouver, Washington. I am proud to say that the tournament this year will be a part of the Washington State Series. (Don’t miss your opportunity to start qualifying)

DETAILS:
• Location: 1501 E. Evergreen Blvd, Vancouver, WA
• When: Saturday, June 1st, 2013
• Pool A: All pro divisions + advanced
• Pool B: All other amateur divisions
• Players: 144 players, 2 rounds/division, singles

REGISTRATION:
• Online or in person at the day of the event
o $35 for online registration
o $40 for in-person/day-of-event registration
• All divisions must have at least 3 players

EXTRAS:
• Players packs for all
• Cash payout for open and advanced divisions
• CTP’s and long drive prizes included
• Putting contest
• Raffle
• Trophies

SCHEDULE:
7:15 Pool B Player check in
8:00 Pool B Player’s meeting
8:15 Pool B Tee off – Round 1
9:30 Pool A Player check in
10:15 Pool A Player’s meeting
10:30 Pool A Tee off – Round 1
12:15 Pool B Player’s meeting
12:45 Pool B Tee off – Round 2
2:00 Pool A Player’s meeting
2:30 Pool A Tee off – Round 2
4:45 All Putting & Awards

We were informed by the park service that we need to park on 5th street this year. That is the road the runs east and west on the south edge of the park. The parking lot by tournament central is off limits this year to insure visitor parking for other park guests. Due to the rising cost to rent the park (almost quadruple this year) we will not be serving lunch for everyone so make sure you bring your own. Sorry. Alcoholic beverages are legal in the park but please use discretion and clean up after yourselves. There will be a posted payout this year and lots of prizes. So join us at the fort this year, we are considering making the event a series this year too!

Registration is open, discs have been ordered and we have a new Kel design for this year. Get registered and play one of the most unique and beautiful temp courses in the area. We want to thank Rainy Day Games for stepping up and being a huge help and main sponsor for this year's Battle, and Kel Carver for another great disc stamp design.

This Friday the 24th is the last day to register online. We will be taking day of registrations, which may include a small handling fee. This is the fourth year of an epic event, set up on a beautiful and scenic location. Please come join us for a great day of disc golf for ALL skill levels and all ages!

I do not have the power to edit the thread as Jason was the one that started it.

We welcome ALL day of registrators!

The course will not be set up until the morning of the event, as we only have the park reserved for that day. The layout will be the same as last year.

Just pointing out this schedule allows 2.25 hours for rounds 1, 2, and 4, but only allows 1.75 hours for round 3.

Did not know if this was by design, or might be a mistake...

Also, MM1 is in pool B, right? Hard to be sure when one pool includes "Advanced" and the other includes "all other Amateur divisions"

So let me get this straight. The park quadrupled the rental fee AND said you can't park in the parking lot. So what exactly are you getting for your increased rental fee except a rectal probing?
