Once again the Walla Walla crew came through with yet another great event. Every time I make that drive east, I drove home thinking it was well worth it.

Many thanks to everyone involved. Can't wait for the next one.

That may be the issue...some sort of safeguard you hacked into the system.

It is just something funky any time I try to make it see the round three scores.

Holy schneike, don't know how often she checks the forums here, but I gotta give a shout out to Jessie! Not only did she take home the 1st place, but with nearly 1000 rated golf in her 3rd round. Way to keep my game feeling exceedingly mediocre!

dangit, tim, you beat me to it!!!

that was easily the finest round of golf i have ever witnessed in my life... i don't care who you are or what gender you happen to be or what division you play in... her drives, besides being enormous, were incredibly accurate... i don't actually know if jessie westphal is a good putter or not 'cause she pretty much never had to do it... if she didn't park her drive, she parked her upshot... it was stunning and a pleasure to get to be a part of...

... something else i think important to mention is what a class act she is... she was beyond fun to be around, an incredibly good sport, entirely proffesional and genuinely supportive of everyone on the card...

most fun i have ever had in a tournament round. ever. thank you jessie, sheila and jenny... you gals are something else again.

Problems solved...for some reason the 3rd round does not like it if ALL the division codes are not capitalized (lesson learned).

Completed results are now up

Thank you all once again for letting the FWWDGC play host to the club's biggest tournament.....yet!

If you think you left a sweatshirt at the course PM me for several were found while cleaning up.
Someone who stayed at my house left a blanket...but other than that you cannot tell that I housed that many guests. Big thank you to all those who crashed at my house for being so polite and taking care of your messes. You all made a positive impression on my wife.

Default and...

... i need to say what a great experience this tournament was all around... it was exceptionally well run and seems as though everything went off without a hitch... the schedule was leisurely yet timely and stuck to impeccably... i really liked that 'cause i was never concerned about where to be and at what time...

... having two courses right there in the same park was very cool so that we could have that early finish on sunday... very civilized, got home at a fully reaonable hour last night (thank you, kris!).

i loved the skins after the round on sunday... never seen that before and it was a great time watching and wandering and socializing...

... the community vibe and spirit surrounding the entire event was really nice as well. lots of folk involved who enjoyed supporting the event... tasty dinner and exceptionally reasonably priced sake bombs...

... i have already marked my calendar for next year.

thank you to everyone who helped and played and made us oregonians feel so welcome (i apologize to any oregonians who did not feel this way and whose behalf i am speaking on without permission )

A few have asked about the shirts and trophies.

Shirts, tags, and towels: Paragon Disc Golf: Miles Parkhill paragondiscgolf@gmail.com

Trophies and Open Award Plaque: Discdiva: Kathy discdiva@pcisys.net

Obviously, it could help FWWDGC if you mentioned us when talking to either party

What a great event! The course was in pristine shape, and Chris and his crew from The FWWDGC covered all the details, mowed boxes, trails, you folks didn't miss a step, well done. The Sushi is one I just won't miss.

Great job Kris, Scott and all of FWWDGC! Ya'll made it well worth the long journey for so many.

This tournament was so smooth, so well run - FANTASTIC JOB!

There was fantastic camaraderie on the courses & at Aloha Sushi Saturday night. Good frisbee spirit was bountiful in the beautiful sunny hills of Walla Walla!

It was great to meet new people & see some old friends too. (Emma you are even sweeter in person)

The courses were clean & well groomed.

Congrats to all the winners.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo much fun! See ya'll next year!

This was a great event for me to be in. It was my second tourney in the washington state series, as well as my 2nd PDGA torney ever. The players pack was Awesome! I'm from the Tri-Cities and I must say You Fort Walla Walla Disc Golf Club and mainly the TD Kris made the Windy River Tourney look bad. I know I am Clowning on the Tri-city Disc Golf Club but really you set the bar high. I will actually look into Helping run the tourney in Tri Cities to make it better than yours. Thanks to Kris again for allowing me to pass out in his back yard for an hour or so and then in his recliner. Thanks for all the memories. Btw i was the one who won the Basket in the Raffle! One more thing......

Default Outstanding

Kris,

I hope you are getting some sleep and recovering from putting on such a fantastic event. The course was amazing, the players packs were loaded, I heard the pay-outs were thick, and I totally scored at the raffle :-)

The tourney was very well run and completely enjoyable.

Thank you for your efforts and thank you to the folks who helped you put this event on.

Already looking forward to next year!!!

LKY

I will echo the sentiments noted above...another classy event put forth out there in Walla Walla. If there were any hiccups, you did a fine job of making it look like it was part of the show. I haven't missed an Aloha Sushi Classic yet, and don't see me missing one in the future.

The course looked as good as it ever has and it is obvious that significant time was logged. Well done.

Great tournament. I could repeat many of the other players' accolades, but I'll just focus on a few of my strongest impressions: HUGE payout, awesome title sponsor, and I'm a big fan of the final 9 skins & accompanying raffle format. I hope this becomes more prevalent. Thanks, Kris!

Another highlight of my weekend was when I had the good fortune of sitting next to Walla Walla country commissioner Perry Dozier and his wife (Darlene?) at Aloha Sushi on saturday night, and siezed the opportunity to introduce them to our sport. They are recovering ball golfers, so it was a pretty easy pitch. We hit it off quickly (their oldest son is also named Kyle and has also spent considerable time in Germany) and made genuinely nice small-talk for a solid half hour, covering topics like parenthood, international travel, local politics, the education system, and of course some of the finer points of the disc golf community - both casual and professional. I talked up the sport, Walla Walla's club, their crown jewel of a tournament, the title sponsor, and the positive impact of dg courses in public parks.

I enjoyed talking to the commissioner, and I think it's safe to say that Disc Golf made a good first impression. Here's hoping one of our local politicians might head out to FWW Park and catch the bug.
