Hey Y'all
Finally back with my computor after a week in Emporia.
To clear up any rumors in the air and fill y'all in on the details of the event let me first start by saying that while yes, it was a huge throw, it in no way counts as an official world record nor will I be recieving compensation for the throw in any way. Its just a fun story to tell people and I suppose I could start saying my longest recorded throw is 843'. I threw a Z Nuke on a bit of a hyzer, it flipped pretty quick, got pushed a few hundred feet and as it flexed out it got picked up again and drifted into a shed. Pretty wacky throw. Perhaps even more impressive was the accuracy contest that was happening simultaneously. They had a string running down the field in line with the teepad, the rules were to throw as far as possible and be nearest the line (they would subtract how far away you were from the line to get your accuracy distance). I threw two X step flat hyzers with the Force and got pretty far and pretty near the line. My third and final throw I decided to go for it. 360'd a Force about 700' and was about two feet from the line. Sadly, as I was the first competitor to throw, no one else tried after me and they didnt actually measure my shot. But it was a smash
I won the distance competition with a throw of 228 yds on a ball golf course on a elevated tee. Beat McBeth, Ulibari and Bratten, three of the biggest arms in the game today. $250 extra for the whip, and already qualified for the distance finals next year.
Good times,
D
