Just three workers today, thanks Steve and Magilla! We installed carpet on 11 of the tees and prepped a couple more greens.

Am I wrong? or is it true that Portland players are scared of losing to Central Oregons finest.

I'll be there representing the 503. Can't wait for some drier weather, thinner air, deschutes brews, and last but not least a new course. Let's do this!

That's not the case for me Magilla. It's mostly that I don't like you.

(April fools) I'm always up for donating my money in central Oregon, especially at Ryan's events. It's a matter of timing.

We have raised over $1,000 added sponsor cash and prizes for disc golf and Frisbee games including distance, freestyle and MTA. 18 ultimate teams (300 players) are already registered. Plenty of disc golf spots remain open. Course open to public Saturday from 3 - 7PM (FREE). Don't forget to bring your party shoes and come help us celebrate a new course in Bend. Food vendors on-site. Custom Innova discs for all registered players. Suzie Sticks, Washers, Live Music, DJ, K-9 King's Flying Disc Dog Show, and an attempt to set a world record for the most discs in the air in the same place at the same time! Hope to see you in that picture.

Thanks to Steve (Chainsaw Wizard) Corfield, Matt Murphy, Adam Cooney and Miranda Erickson for helping to finish up the course today. We now have every tee completed with carpet or rubber installed, and just two natural tees on top of the hill.

I may be heading that way but am awaiting the fiancees ok. Do I have to sign up in advance or is it possible to sign up early saturday morning? I will probably know in a day or two so I will try either way to sign up early as I know the headache day of sign ups can be for TD's. I might also have room in my car for anyone who needs a ride but it's a crack of dawn start saturday morning.

Default Show your support for another new course in Oregon

Come on people, we REALLY need the support of the Disc Golf community here. This is pretty much a test event to show the city that there is a need for a new course in Bend. If all goes well this course (at least 18 holes of it) will be installed as part of the park (semi-permanently).
Come on over the Mtn and show the city how much Disc Golf has grown over the years. You are assured to have a great time at the Disc-Go-Ball.

Default Directions?

Can someone confirm how to get to this course?

It looks like the entrance is on Purcell Blvd and you drive east on a dirt road to the parking icon or do you drive west from Bend-Deschutes Market Rd?

yeah, if directions from Portland (at least local directions as soon as I hit Bend) could be given I'd appreciate it. Trying to show our support (I think I have a joiner too meaning two more masters if you can handle that). Also, what time should the round each day start and approx end, all this is vital information if I am to persuade the lady. Thanks in advance for any and all response.

Directions to Course: From HWY 97 or HWY 20, Exit on Empire Ave and head East (1 mile). Empire T's at Purcell, make a left and a quick right to enter the park. Next to Ponderosa Elementary.

It's not a lack of desire on my part, I wish I could! Three tournaments three weeks in a row in Oregon and I had to choose just one. I visit Bend a few times every year and would always try to play this course. Is there someone with the City of Bend who it would be helpful to send an e-mail to in order to demonstrate the need and potential for the course?

During the event we'll take feedback on any desired course improvements. Your recommendations could help the Pine Nursery get cement tees, baskets, tee signs, etc. in the future.

Come show us how your discs fly?

That's great. For those of us that cannot attend the event but would like to voice support for the course and let the people that need to know that we would definitely play it in the future, is there something we can do to help you?
