The ladies division, (me and my partner Rebecca) had an awesome time. We got to play with the Pinkals in the first round, and that was so much fun. Then in the 2nd round we got to play with the most awesome masters pair Josh Gorman & Ed McMahan. They Rock! Also Shavonney caddies for my awesome partner Rebecca icing on the cake. The best part of the day though was my partner hitting the hanging basket in the first round, so frickin awesome! Fun day, fun people, so awesome!

The weather was freaking brutal, got wind burns on my face... but it was definitely fun regardless of how we played... wet, muddy and windy... but FUN... The donut holes and mini basket killed our score...

Enjoyed the rounds on Saturday. Great partner made it a fun afternoon. Glad to see some people I have not talked to in a while. Thanks to all involved on putting together a fun event.

i enjoyed this more than most doubles events/rounds i have played... alternate shot was a great, quick way to play doubles and i thought the warp zones were a cool idea (altho they gave me fits being unable to quite put my disc in the square, but in theory)... i also thought the mini basket was the devil. mr. eric smith, thank you for keeping me laughing on the tee box every time during that second round. i applaud your creativity. patos au gratin, whatever!!!

thank you nate and dion and brianna and anyone else who helped put this on... nice way to sort of kick off the season here in oregon...

p.s. i am choosing to not say anything about that "tough shot" nonsense... like my mama said, if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all...

Emma, you and your partner didn't do too bad even with the tough shot. Just saying.

Emma, that was fun and thanks for being a good sport about me giving you a different team name on every hole.

I had a great time at another fun AFD! The weather was, at times, uh....challenging. At other times there was actually a bright orb of warm light somewhere above us and that was pleasant. We got to play two rounds with Long and Wrong, two guys I haven't had the pleasure to play a round with before . Funny thing was they weren't that long and they weren't often wrong either!

I liked the Warp Zones and went for it twice with no success. I think they need to be just a bit bigger to make them tempting enough to really impact strategy. The hanging basket we were a little confused by even though it was clearly explained at the players meeting. It turns out that laying up underneath the hanging basket for an easy 2 was NOT the right play!

Thanks to Nate and Dion and the WDGC and anyone else who helped out with another fun AFD!

thanks, jason. it still managed to bum me out, tho... which is an unusual state of mind for me to be in while golfing... thank goodness we finished that round with alternate shot, right?

... "tambourine & piccolo", "plants & trees"... much better names than what i came up with...

Then you must have missed my drive on 18 that landed near the doughnut flags on the practice basket...or the 16 shots we had to take to get an 8 on hole 7...

I had an amazing time all weekend long at AFD!

Thanks to Nate & Dion for adding the second day and giving me more AFD than I could handle. You both rock!

I should have taken Monday off work...

Love me some BYOP Dubs and the extras at AFD just add to the fun! Great people and fun golf even in shitty weather was still a blast!
