Make sure you wear a wetsuit too. Last year there were some puddles that you could float a boat in. Let's hope the snow dies down a bit so the only chains that will be ringing are from putts and not the bottom of your car.

Question tees

Does anyone know how many of the tee pads are from a paved path or concrete now? Deciding on footware....

Exclamation North Bonneville course notes

I am heading out to the park tomorrow to plant a few flags to mark the tees that we will be using that are not paved. Notably, tees for hole #3 and #12 are not the old tee positions! Tee #3 is next to the tennis courts, you should have the tennis courts on your right when you tee off. Tee #12 is much closer to the road and does not share the tee with hole #8 anymore.
The tees that are paved are nice! There are also about 3 or 4 tee boxes in the ground to mark the new pads to be poured. When you get to those pads it is your choice, tee from inside the forms or directly behind the pads. Most of these holes do not require your biggest drive so please always use caution when playing in winter conditions.

When you get to the standing water on 4 and/or 5 we will play it as casual water:
803.05 Obstacles and Relief
B. Casual Obstacles to a Stance: A player may obtain relief only from the following obstacles that are in the stance or run-up area: casual water, loose leaves or debris, broken branches no longer connected to a tree, motor vehicles, harmful insects or animals, players' equipment, or people. The player must first attempt to remove the obstacle. If it is impractical to move the obstacle, the player's lie may be relocated to the nearest lie which is no closer to the hole and is on the line of play.

So if you do not want to stand and throw in the water you may take your lie as far back along the line of play as you'd like. You may not stand out of bounds to make your throw.

Here's the list of OB's that will be printed on the back of every scorecard:
Hole-OB rules
1 On or beyond walking path right
2 On roof, path or paved parking lot
3 On or beyond walking path left, river
4 On or beyond walking path right and road left
5 On or beyond walking path right, river left
6 On or beyond walking path right, river left, tennis courts
7 On or beyond walking path right
8 No OB
9 On or beyond walking path deep
10 No OB
11 No OB
12 On or beyond walking path right
13 Must cross path on tee shot/drop zone if missed
14 No OB
15 On or beyond walking path deep
16 On or beyond walking path right or deep
17 On or beyond walking path left or deep
18 On path or shelter pavement or roof

I am excited by all the work that has been done out at North Bonneville, and really enjoyed playing the course last weekend, even if Sines was a bagger and took my low tag...

Let's all have a good and safe time out at North Bonneville this weekend!

Remain ye men of faculty complete,
Of full arithmetic and prudence fair,
Attending to our noble bond and contract?
Or does here stand the last remaining man

I’ll not be bent to lawlessness. Mark it nought, if we be men of honour.

Tough course change. Looks like each day played the course a little different. Saturday had a mando on hole 13, as per the park rangers request, and there was no drop zone established for hole 5 making it each cards choice how to play.
