That's cool. Too bad it is referred to as frisbee golf though.

Actually refering to it as frisbee golf gives the uninformed a better idea of what he's doing. Before I started playing if you told me you did disc golf I would have said "what?" but if you said frisbee golf then I would at least have a little bit of a clue of the game. I think the fact that the Oregonian had it in there at all is great for the sport!

D-Walk, after KK did that voice over in '79 (and before for the disc championships) disc golfers nation wide were sure that DG was on the point of braking through into the mainstream big time. There was talk of the Olympics, network TV, yadda, yadda, yadda. Sound familiar? That's part of the reason we old farts just keep our mouths shut when we hear the youngins talk that talk; and we are chuckling in our minds as well. 30 years from now so many more will better understand what some already took 30 years to learn.
