Exclamation Team Disc Golf: Week 5 Results

A couple of quick notes: The epic battle between the Green Bowl Packers and Good Bad & Sassy played to a draw after both rounds, being decided only by the tie breaker of total strokes. On the strength of our lowest rated player finally coming back to her pre-injury skill level the Sassy Ones edged out the Packers 592-598.
Meanwhile, the Casserole, who has been nearly everybody's bitch this season, showed up with 2 WARRIORS to fight Vapor Trail AND THEY LEFT WITH 4 MATCH POINTS!!!! We are still waiting for the DNA confirmation to come back from the lab, but most people think that they sent in ringers this week.

Timber Park 1/4/08
Putt This! 8.5 v Rockwood Roughnecks 3.5
Big Winds 3 v Westside Slingers 9
Dark Horse 9 v Drunk & Disorderly 4
Good Bad & Sassy 7 v Green Bowl Packers 6
Asshole Casserole 4 v Vapor Trail 7

EAST DIVISION STANDINGS
Rockwood Roughnecks Camo Mike Neimi 35
Dark Horse Jeff Mittl 34
Putt This! Jeff Hemmerling 31.5
Drunk & Disorderly Celeste Scandiffio 27
Vapor Trail George Adams 24.5

WEST DIVISION STANDINGS
Green Bowl Packers Tom Rybloom 34.5
Good Bad & Sassy Jordan Lewis 33.5
Westside Slingers Jason McGrew 29
Big Winds Victor Cervantes 26
Asshole Casserole Kyle Art 19

Now THAT's what I call me some close races!!!
Dark Horse is breathing down the 'rough'necks of the Rockwood crew and Putt This! has closed to within 3.5 points of the lead after holding RR to their lowest point total of the season.

Rockwood finishes with GBS at Milo and GBP at Trojan; Dark Horse gets VT at Milo and WS at Trojan; Putt This! plays AC at Milo and GBS at Trojan.

While in the west, the Sassy Ones cut the Packers lead in half but the big move this week comes from those Slingers. They are only 5.5 points out of first.

The Packers play BW at Milo and RR at Trojan;Sassy Ones get RR at Milo and PT! at Trojan; Slingers play D&D at Milo and DH at Trojan.

Looks like the final championship battles won't be set until the final match this year.

I'll try to get to the round ratings tonight too...

Of full arithmetic and prudence fair,

Or does here stand the last remaining man

Who loves the law and bids it no misdeed.

Hey, the Slingers' 9-3 victory was the most decisive of the weekend, matched only by Dark Horse for high MP total. Credit was due and given.

Cool **geek alert**

These are my thoughts as to the correct ratings point per stroke for Timber's 19 hole SSAs:
If the AHP for a 19 hole round is 2.75 wouldn't the 18 hole equivalent SSA be the 19 hole SSA minus the AHP?
That gives us adjusted SSAs of 50.46 for the first round and 49.51 for the second round.
When you compare them to the chart you see that the ratings point per stroke should have been 10 in the first round and 11 in the second round.
If those figures were used the week's matches would have ended like this:
Timber Park 1/4/08
Putt This! 9 v Rockwood Roughnecks 3
Big Winds 3 v Westside Slingers 9
Dark Horse 9 v Drunk & Disorderly 4
Good Bad & Sassy 7.5 v Green Bowl Packers 5.5
Asshole Casserole 4 v Vapor Trail 7
