Default Ice Golf Anyone?
Ice Golf Anyone? I am considering taking TriMet to Lunchtime (today Sun Dec 21) for some icy windy snow golf, since the bus to Greenway is canceled. Wanna lose some plastic with me? Post, PM, or call!

I'm down for some lunchtime golf. Dan and I have been playing there mostly all week. It's about a 15-20 min walk. What time are you thinking?

I'm wearing a red jacket. and I'm about 6'4" tall. I don't know if we've met before? I'll have my camera out there, so come join me and we can take some snow DG pics!

Crap. I guess we missed you, Gawain. Eric and I got there a few minutes after 10. After a few holes, we met up with Ryan. We all left just after 12. It was cold and icy.

Ryan, I'd love to see those pictures you took.

That was some extreme weather for golfing. Best either spike hyzer in for the landing or be prepared for the disc to go anywhere once it starts skidding on the ice.

Sorry we missed you Gawain. I'll no doubt head out there again tomorrow though so holler if you're headed there.

Wow. I played 9 holes and I'm exhausted! It was really fun! I had some great ace runs. I skipped and hit basket on 2 AND 8!!

Had a killer time, was also exhausted, hard to find discs, got one INSANE skip, twirl, slide-sideways-while-standing-on-edge shot that finally landed upside down and blew all the way downhill on ice nearly into the parking lot!

It was nearly noon by the time I got there, Tri-Met was ridiculously behind schedule. Maybe I can catch you guys next time, what about tomorrow morning Tues Dec 23 around 9 AM at Lunchtime?

I was planning to play tomorrow morning, but 9 may be a bit ambitious for me. I was thinking more like 10. Will that still work for you?

Good question on the Lost & Found. That was typically handled by the Course Pro - it was course creator Full-On Dave before it was Justin Ubel; both have now moved on. While not on the payroll, Albert Ricker is close with the church, and might be willing to take on this role. Short of that, check with Randy the Groundskeeper, PM me for cell #. And yes, I'll keep an eye out (duh).

Yes, a tee time of 10 AM today Tues Dec 23 at Lunchtime works for me. I am going night snowboarding at SkiBowl afterward, but I don't need to be in NoPo until noon for that, so round at 10 AM should work fine. I'll look for the chalk powder this time!

CRAP! Just checked TriMet.org, and the 43 and 44 buses are BOTH canceled today, so I will have to walk or take the 12 if I am still going to play. Also, my wife may have to go to the office today, so I will need to dig out her car first. She has a 4 wheel drive, I have a 2 wheel drive, neither of us has traction tires or devices. I will post again by 9:00 with an update regarding the proposed revised tee time of 10 AM today Tues Dec 23 at Lunchtime.
