Default new People's Park forum

Adam, can we get a forum in the Eastern Washington section for this?

The SDGA is putting in a course there. Right now we have a temp layout with 12 buckets installed, and want to start directing people there and to open up discussion.

Has it now been officially approved by whomever owns the land?

Even with verbal approval, I think it would be a good idea to get something in writing from the Parks Dept.

Part of our agreement with the Parks Dept. is that we will be using the land as is, and not removing any trees. That should avoid the pitfalls of that club and course that you linked. Also note that the article you linked doesn't saying anything about having or not having written permission. That wasn't the issue there.

That being said, something in writing would be nice. Even with their permission, having something in writing is good to cover our ass if there is a major overhaul in the Parks Dept.

But that doesn't change the fact that getting anything in writing from the Parks Dept. is tough, and that we have never had anything in writing regarding Downriver or High Bridge (besides the plan for the 9 hole expansion under the bridge area) as far as I know.
