Ok, I haven't drank in years and as everyone knows I don't do the other things eluded to here. I don't have a problem with either but do feel like this should be the case at ALL PDGA events.

To say, "up till the two minute warning" or "between rounds" or "once you putt out" or what ever seems to be kind of counter productive. You're saying it is NOT ok, well MAYBE ok, but not REALLY ok, or it MIGHT be ok? The PDGA needs to make a clear and bullet proof stand on the use of drugs/alcohol at PDGA events.

My 2 cents worth!

There is a difference between drinking and being drunk. If it is legal in the park, I think that they should allow it.

As for the other, the PDGA language is awfully wishy-washy on the subject. Either say something and come out against it entirely or say nothing at all.

Just a little history behind these rules...............
If you think it is "vague" now....you should have seen it before.

The reason behind the whole "2 min til cards turned in" was to eliminate the "Burden" put on a TD to "Police" the masses between rounds.
MANY TD's, were put into situations that became a problem.

By the "Old Rules", If "Joe Blow" came to me to report that he saw "Tokin Tim" over in his camp "smoking marijuana", I now was MANDATED to go over there, investigate and DQ EVERYONE involved...
As a TD, It is NOT my job to be your MOTHER or a between rounds.
MOST of us are adults and know how to behave as such. I am far to busy between rounds to deal with those things. If I see you out in the OPEN, I might suggest you find a more suitible location.
What it did was allow me to worry about what goes on DURING play and suggests that between rounds to leave the to the

As a Player you need to use common sense and think about the actions you take.
I have personally LOST SPONSORS simply because they drove thru the parking lot at Lunch.
