Default What is the Best Disc Golf Vacation Destination?

What is the best disc golf vacation destination?

I just returned from the Monterey Bay in California and played De La Veaga, La Raza and other Monterey Bay courses. I thought that is was great place to take a disc golf vacation but I know that there must be a better grouping of disc golf courses on this planet.

Texas?
Michigan?
Maui?
Florida?
Japan?
Europe?

Is Bowling Green particularly conducive to rollers?

Belize is an awesome destination but the disc golf is a bit lacking - just one nine holer is all.

I'd vote for central virginia, then massachusetts, then charlotte for straight up disc golf destinations.

Well, if Portland is the first choice, then the second choice is:

London, England. You can play disc golf, sightsee and ride the Underground. Lloyd Park was quite lovely, and Whitcombe Farm isn't too far away.

John Houck resides somewhere down in those parts, I bet there are more than a few world class courses!

Twin Cities. Close to 40 courses within a half hour of the interstate loop around the metro and leagues every day but Saturday with more than one some days. Two courses in the top 10 on DG Course review.

True but it is Austin. For those that don't know, Austin is an entity to it's own in TX. Very leftist and artsy. And people who live there are seemingly in love with it. I was chatting with one native, about how Austin is a place I might like to visit one day, and he was like "Yeah, Austin is great! Awesome bars, music scene, disc golf, etc. The only problem is that it's surrounded by, well, Texas."

Yeah, Texas definitely has Austin surrounded by more than a tank of gas in any direction.
