And this outdated nugget: "There are public disc golf courses in Salem at Woodmansee Park and Cascades Gateway Park, and more than 2,000 installed disc golf courses in the world." I've seen this outdated statistic several times recently. The PDGA course directory currently lists 2903 courses, and who knows how many others are out there. The total is most certainly well over 3000.

I also loved the reference to the disc golf area as a "court".

But any press is good press, right?

Well, to be fair, that one was probably a typo.

The most recent content I can find on disclife.com is from 2003; the "PDGA" section of their site lists the "2001 Tournament Schedule." You'd think reporters could vet their sources a little more carefully.
