Default McCormick Park DGC - St. Helens, OR

For anyone wondering about the progress at McCormick Park, we just got our preliminary layout approved tonight, and anticipate work parties starting toward the end of this month. There is LOTS of clearing to be done. Over 6000' of fairway (check out the attached map), so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Additionally, we are still a ways out on fundraising, so any leads anyone can offer would be fantastic...

Be sure to like us on facebook for more updates, thanks!

Also, big thanks to Melissa Meddock for creating the map, let her know if she can make one for your course.

Hot damn, it looks like it's almost completely in the woods. Nice job, St. Helens people.

Yep! There will only be a couple of somewhat exposed holes, that's about it. If you look through the initial pictures you can see what most of the course will look like. Most of those initial pictures are taken from the path though. We have trudged through the dense stuff to find the fairways.

Nice logo, nice flyer - nice work!

By any chance will any of those fundraiser discs be available for sale at Trojan this weekend or are they only available at 4discgolf.com?

Default McCormick Disc Golf Course Work Party – Saturday, April 20th at 8AM!

McCormick Disc Golf Course Work Party – Saturday, April 20th at 8AM!

The first work party is scheduled! Mark your calendars! Bring gloves, loppers, machetes, weed eaters, and any equipment you think may be helpful! We will have some tools available, but the more the better. We have over half the course rough cut/line of sight ready to be cleared. We also highly suggest using ‘Ivy Block’ and will be supplying it on site as poison oak is difficult to identify this time of year. Come help add a fantastic new course to our community! Thanks to everyone for all your support!
