Heads up to Darkhorse, it looks like TnT will not be able to make it for the morning round at Trojan so we will be 6 in the AM and 8 in the PM.

Thanks for all the work.

And thanks for the heads up that you will have 6 in the morning. It is appreciated. We will plan accordingly so let us know if anything changes in that regard.

Posting to let Putt it in Your Mouth that team OreGrown will not be making it to Trojan this Saturday. Lots of complications between our team members schedules. Congratulations on the win for not last place! We do plan on being at Milo for the finals. Cheers.

I sure hope so. I posted them here to provoke a response from the players but only my own captain has contacted me. (he's not real pleased with the "Any OB" rule on hole 1) When I made that ruling I was sure it would be like kicking a hornet's nest...

Jordan,
I downloaded the "UPDATED" Week9/12-13 Standings.xls file (dated 2/5/13). It still has the old, incorrect team point totals.

Hole #1 "Any OB go to drop zone by sign". I marked a drop zone slightly right of the sign. That is how we played it last year too, I don't see the concern?

Scenario #1 - you drive all the way to the fenced green and then your putt skips off the top of the basket and lands OB. Instead of marking your lie 1 meter from the OB fence where it went out, you have to walk back across the road and shoot your 4th shot from the drop zone.

Scenario #2 You've tried to hit that stupid fenced in area and have landed on your butt after sliding on the mossy tee pad. So you play the skip off the asphalt with a stable disc and take your par with a smile as your opponent cards a bogey.

If your putt skips out of bounds, you're putting too hard - take it from me, I know all about putting too hard...

Historically the ORDGC basket placement on that hole is directly behind the tree just outside the fence in a direct line from the drop zone to the pin. It will be there again this year, but since the ORDGC extra cable will not be present the pin will be 10-15' closer to the OB fence line. So it won't take a Gawain Super Hard Putt(TM) to shoot your putt OB.

I'm bringing 2-cables to attempt and achieve the ORDGC location for Saturday. Doubt that will change the SSA more than 1/1000 of a point..

Better yet ask PGE if we can put a collar in there and ask Jeff Hagerty to get a crew together and get it done.

Don't think that's practical for this weekend. But a good idea for a Trojan work party, maybe with advanced notice this spring to get ready for ORDGC and 2014....

I've updated the first post in this thread with the correct team match point totals and switched the home/visitor for two matches.

On hole #4 only the water in the slough before hwy 30 is OB. I think you really meant hole #3 where down by the basket the path makes a little peninsula out of that green. and no anything on the path or beyond it, including the lake, is OB. On hole #5 going into the water/rough on the right is punishment enough, no need for added OB strokes.
