Default my first app!

alright boys & girls...

now that y'all have had plenty of time to try out all the disc golf apps out there... which one would you recommend? all i am interested in is keeping my score with something that is simple and user friendly (my iphone scares me, not gonna lie)... i recall playing with someone that had an app that calculated an approximate round rating. i thought that was fun...

thoughts?

thank you!

I prefer "DG Caddy" on my I-phone.

I also have the PDGA app, but the rating calculations are pretty far off, IMO.

thanks for the info, gentleman. i'm very excited for my first app...

... however, i think i need a support group for people who are afraid of their iphones. it's not that i think it's smarter than me... it's just that... is it really okay that it knows where i am??? and what if i drop it before i get an indestructible case for it???

maybe i just want my flip phone back.

I think the pdga app could be a lot better, but it does a decent job overall. As far as cases go I have always had an otter box (and think they're great). Also look @ lifeproof cases. They are the only waterproof iphone case I know of. I love mine.

thank you, everyone... i got disc golf caddy... and then thought i broke it (who knew you could break an app???). it got stuck on a screen as i was fiddling around with it while taking my new iphone out to dinner... but then this morning it appears to be back to normal.

and i did indeed get the otter box case and i feel much better now.

any idea why my disc golf caddy app is hinky? i'm thinking about trashing it and just getting the pdga one... but thought i'd see if anyone had any suggestions...

... i would try to "start" a round and the app would just disappear and i'd be back on my home screen... now i'm stuck on a screen with the only course i entered (blue lake) in a little bubble... and when i tap it, the screen darkens and says (not in a bubble) "select tee" or (in a bubble) "cancel" and when i tap cancel it just goes back to the screen that says blue lake and i can't get back to the previous pages...

... seriously, people, how do you break an app?

Also look at Discasaurus & UDisc. Decent scorecards & I disc has a throw measuring feature too.

Default upon further review

i don't like any of the apps and will probably continue just writing my score down on notecards and filing them in a shoe box.

before you file them in the shoe box
maybe you could run down to the general store
and leave a handwritten copy
for the pony express to pick up
and bring it to one of the mods of this site
to share with the rest of us

give one of them a second try (a fair chance)
