Default my homemade basket(s) for my future private course

i am making some hornings type baskets for at my house
i have the first one kinda roughed in (pic worthy anyway)
still has a ways to go, but you'll get the idea
it has the "portable base" on it now so i can fine tune basket placement, then i will mount it permanently
it sure is going to make short work of a roll of chain

Matt,

you thinking of doing the Yellow paint treatment like at Hornings? or going Red and black for Shelton? or going for a natural petina (rust orange)

Looking favorable on the build from the pictures.

Gathered data from a variety of sources for chain configs, especially if weighing out costs vs benefits:

12 chains can get you started
at 16 things start being pretty decent
when you get to 20-24 you're in a great sweet spot.
If you start with 12-16 then move to 24 chains, it seems like luxury!

i have some extra white paint i will use

i looked at the specs on all baskets from the pdga site
and kind of worked out a happy medium for specs
it has 12 outer chains because thats how the gaps measured out (going by pdga specs)
and will have 4-8 inner chains havent nailed that down yet

i was just throwing at it
and it catches very well, even out on the edges
i will have to experiment with the inner chain count

i do know what too many inner chains looks like, on my costco park and sun basket
i have been all over with it (none,4, 12, 6) on inner chains and settled on 6

Well, you won't have to worry about someone stealing those, at least without two goons and a forklift!

One of the best. That's why he is the forklift.

I think olydiscgolf counts for two, but then again maco capo has the equipment to make it happen.

That's why I'm the pitcher and olydiscgolf is the catcher! As for Bake, he can run the video camera

When will your fellow south sound throwers be able to come play/test the course and baskets. Would love to experience the dream of every disc golfer, a private, custom designed course.

Since I hurt my knee at the throwdown
Things have kinda stalled out
And as far as "private courses" go, its not really all that dreamy (at least for now)
Its only a couple levels better than practice putting in the backyard
The dreaming part comes in where I think its going to be like a real course.
The custom lay out is called just working with ya got for now
