Default Stoller Vineyards?

I was talking to my new neighbor today and we started to talk about DG. He asked me if we have ever been to Stoller Vineyards to play their course...

Wine + Disc Golf = crazy awesome!

Has anyone been there? I want to check it out! What's the scoop?

Corey Omey designed the course. I am pretty sure it's 9 baskets.
He was telling me a little bit about it last year so that's about all I remember. I'll bet he has some good pics???

FYI, I just got this e-mail back from them, in response to my query about the course and whether it was open to the public:

Our disc golf is part of The Stoller experience. Only our tasting
guests may play and it is included in our tasting fee of $10.00/person.
It is not open to the general public.

We hope that you will come out to experience our wines and play
(May-Sept).

I was just out there 2 weeks ago and the baskets had been taken down. They will be back in the spring.

It's spring-ish now. Any idea when baskets go back in the ground? Carie call me when you go. I can put down the Sparks for a day.

Oh Heck ya! I'll contact them to see when they'll be putting up the course.

Does anyone know how long this course has existed? I used to ride quads at the Vineyard growing up and don't remember anything about baskets back then. Their wines are excellent and I only live a jog away, thus it looks like I may become a regular wine taster this Summer.

i believe this is the third year for the baskets at least that i know of
you pay the wine tasting fee ,,,then you can use the grounds,,, play disc golf
always call first,,, they won't let you play at times ,,,and if they have an event going on ,,,the course is closed,,,nothing special but if you like wine it's worth the trip,, i believe the fee is 10.00 to taste the wine,,,they like you to be somewhat dressed for the occasion,,,it seemed to me they wanted me to buy wine not play golf,, no one was rude or anything they just didn't see that i was there to golf not taste wine

Funny that, as they are a vineyard!

But the real question is have you signed up for the BSF yet? 44 left on the AM side and going fast now that the server connection is working...

no i have a better tounament to spend my money on that i've been invited too,, i'm going to the worlds
thats the whole point ,,it's not a golf course ,,it's something to do after tasting wine before you drive away,, don't expect the value of disc golf to be what you pay for

Interesting, I didn't realize that there was a conflict between the 2 tourneys...

Maybe the disc golf is better after you've slammed a few wine 'tastings'...

The way I see it...

I like wine.

I like disc golf.

I will pay to taste wine.

I will pay to play disc golf.

Therefore, I will taste wine and play disc golf at Strollers for a $10 tasting fee.

Can you say Chick Flick, ladies?

Now that tax season is drawing to a close, my beloved might be down for making a trip out there to join you. I will see what she thinks - once I actually get to see her again.

I've never been much of a "lady", but I'm just gonna come out and say it: "F*****cccckkkk yeaaaah!:" If we could incorporate a visit to Sake One in this journey, it'd be my own little version of heaven.

I like the sound of both.. It would be a five hour trip for me to come down - but I might be able to make arrangements and come down a day early.. who knows!!! It is all in the planning!

I believe I played a round of ball golf with the owner and his son at Tualatin Country Club! It was 2 summers ago when I first started playing disc golf and I brought it up with them that I had discovered this addicting sport. The dad was like "Really?! We have a disc golf course on our vineyard!". I didn't know the name and had never found out anything about this but this must be it!
