Wondering which holes we'll play from the am pads? 14 (1000') probably, 9 (Genius hole) perhaps?
Jordan,
Still wondering what pads we're playing this weekend... Thanks!

Yeah... I went with the TreeLove plan and updated the first post with that information after noticing that I didn't include it in the original post like I intended...

So some people look for the information at the top of the thread and some at the bottom of the thread so I guess I will copy it here too.

Both BSF layouts play with 8 Ratings Points/Stroke.
We will meet in the usual shelter unless it is reserved.
We will play all holes from the Pro pads except the longest hole to save time.

The light is getting shorter and shorter and this course is long so please be at the shelter ready to fill out the match sheets at 8 am sharp! Please be sure to purchase and display parking passes.

I am bit worried that the SSA you are basing this week's ratings points per stroke choice isn't accurate. It sounds like we are not playing either of the BSF layouts. Rather, we are playing a modified winter layout on the East Course. If this is correct, the course we are playing should be significantly easier than the BSF East Course in many ways (eg: distance, less OB in play, etc...). I would guess that the SSA for what is in the ground, and playing the AM pad on the long hole, should be around 56. If this is correct, shouldn't we be using a ratings point per stroke of 9 or 10?

Your argument would hold more weight if you knew what the SSA breakdowns were for Ratings Points per Stroke instead of just guessing. The history of what I call Milo Long has the average SSA at 59.32 so we have 1.32 to lose before the SSA drops the RP/S to eight.

I have long wanted to set the RP/S to the actual SSA shot on the course that day, but people have always wanted to know what the RP/S are before the match. In this case we could move the RP/S from 8 to 9 if the course plays easier like you say it will. I am pretty confident that the SSA will be 58.00 or above, thus the 8 RP/S that I have set.

One of the improvements to the score-sheet I have instituted is the ability to change one cell and change the RP/S for either the morning or the afternoon rounds. So you can play with the "What If" scenarios all day long...but most matches do not turn on the 1 RP/S difference.

This is just a veiled attempt to get their opponents (Putt This) drunk so they (Vapor Trails) will have an advantage.
We won't fail for it!!!!

Huh......It appears that I was in the right ballpark regarding SSA to rating points per stroke. If my assertion on SSA was correct then my recommendation on ranting points per stroke would be correct (SSA 56 = RPPS 9). So, your argument regarding the weight of my argument just seems dismissive.

FYI: I still stick behind my SSA = 56, though this weekend's weather report is giving me pause. The course is significantly shorter and a few ares of prominent OB have been taken out of play.......though Shawn's Hot Apple Pie could bring those OB lines back into play!

Haha!! Nah, just trying to share some tasty treats, and since it's Milo, and that apple pie is gluten free, this weekend seemed perfect for it!

Yeah, I think in good weather it's probably 9rpps but with all the rain forecast it'll be back into the 8rpps range.
Don't worry, we'll dominate anyway...

Don't think I didn't see you trying to slip in the 10 RP/S into your first missive...you not so slick!

Maybe there needs to be an SSA side bet or something...
