So, I will be in town on my vacation and was wondering if I should try and play this event. I see from other posts that the course is fairly young and maybe in need of work. Is it going to be playable for the tourney or should I just play a casual round elsewhere? Coming from Raleigh, NC.

is a fun course, especially for an east coaster. however it is not even remotely close to the best Oregon has to offer. This course is a high risk for disc loss due to extensive undergrowth, which is the bulk of the complaints from what i can tell, which could make for a slow tournament...which is why I'm not sure if I'll play yet either.

I would definitely recommend you play this tourney.
This a difficult course the rewards accuracy over distance and power.
I play this course weekly and can honestly say I have only lost one disc on the course and several in the water hazards due to errant throws. I got that one disc back the next day from the person who found it.

We are having a work party on the 28 of July to deal with the grass and other vegetation. We are also working on getting an inmate work crew to deal with some scotch broom and other vegetation.

This isn't a ball golf course, this a disc golf course in a wooded area with some respect for the natural surroundings. (Sorry we couldn't use heavy equipment to build it like other courses) The more people who play the course, the better it gets.

All amateur players will be getting an Innova disc in the players pack.

I have ordered Champion Destroyers, Sidewinders, Firebirds, and Monarchs.

Discs have been hot stamped and on their way. I should have them on Friday!

22 players are signed up. 5 open and 17 Amateur.
Looking for more junior players. We would like to have that division.

A lot of work has happened on the course in the last couple of weeks. Mowing, weed eating, more tee signs, all the concrete tee pads are in, more alt basket locations. You all better check out the course before the tourney.

Online signups are still happening.
If you like to play and pay day of, send me a pm so i know you playing.
