The Best Disc Golf Shoes?

I am now on the market for a nice pair of disc golf shoes. I am looking at Salomons, the Keen Delaveaga, or considering replacing my Montrails. The Montrail shoes busted through relatively quick (~5-6 months, can't remember exactly), but were incredibly comfortable and I can snag a Columbia employee store pass to pick them up on the cheap. However, there is no return policy there, and I have heard great things about REI and Keen's return policies regarding shoes, and am wanting to factor that in to see that I can get some longevity out of whatever I choose, as well as having a shoe that matches the comfort of my Montrails. Looking for any suggestions. I'll have a poll to see what you think if you don't want to bother with words... that will keep this interesting as well.

i agree with you on the montrails, harrison... really comfy but busted out at the little toes pretty quick... didn't affect their goretexiness but they do look a ghetto...

... i have been a fan of salomons for years and as far as longevity that is what i recommend... they've got the new ones in at Next Adventure right now, low tops with quick laces... and you get that discount for being a stumptown member...

if you do go to NA try on a pair of Trekstas, also... they are super lightweight and i played a couple shots this weekend from the middle of a crick and my toesies stayed dry... but they took exactly two rounds of 18 to break in...

I love Keens, but I love Vibram soles. I currently wear Merrells with Vibram souls and couldn't be happier. My work shoes wore out so I have been wearing my discin shoes to work for about three months now as well as playing disc with very good results.

I have wider feet and Merrells tend to fit a little wider. I know I liked Solomon overall but it was a bit narrow. Keens I also find to be a bit too narrow.

I have had very good luck with these and I believe I am on my 4th year playing on the same pair.

Some good shoes have been mentioned here.

Vasque also makes some good trail-running, multi-sport, and hiking shoes that would be great candidates for Oregon summer/winter golf.

I just got the Delaveagas this past week at have worn them for 5 rounds and I really like them. The only problem I've had so far is the laces are a little tight on the top of my foot, but it's not bad.

GoreTex Salomons. I have them for three winters and just about to retire them. I agree with Emma...Stumptown discount at Next Adventure! On the other hand, REI has great customer service. I bought a pair for my hubs and they started leaking after a month and they replaced them for free. However, I paid full price for them.

Who makes the best disc golf shoe in optional widths? I wear a 13 4E, and it's hard to find anything but New Balance trail shoes. I like New Balance shoes, the problem for me is that their more durable trail shoes aren't wide enough in the toe bed (even in 4E)-- the two Gore Tex pair that I've bought were both uncomfortable and not in the least bit waterproof.
I should write them a letter...

Well, I went with the Salomons, and evidently I have a wide right foot, because after a whopping 15 holes at Lunchtime I had to tear them off and concede that they won't work for me. Broke my right pinky toe when I was a teen and the shoes chaffed it and practically made it feel sprained. And the search goes on! Luckily, I purchased them at REI and can find something that works. Thinking of going with the Merrells, considering the wider size and Vibram sole.

For waterproof shoes I lovr Keen's. Non-waterproof I love the addidas tr2, and well others from the trail runner series. That model just comes to minf since I am wearing them.

I like the merrels with vibra soles as well. I'm on my second pair of merrel "Moab ventilators" and they are awesome lightweight high tops. I don't know how they hold up with a toe drag as I don't really do that but the last pair I had lasted easily 2 years of constant disc golf. Plus they have a wide size option that fit my wide feet really well

If you can find them I where Bite Torque DG. They have great comfort and performance have had them over a year and play at least 18 holes a day. I purchased from GGGT.
