Default WSS Tournament Name Brainstorming

CRDGC is hosting a C tier 1 day tournament on July 14th. This will be at two rivers with 2 rounds of 21 holes. Use this thread for brainstorming ideas for what we should call the tournament.

We are also hosting a 2 day B Tier for the finals, but the title will likely be "Washington State Series Championship"

Where The Rivers Cross

Tale of Two Rivers II

(There is already a Tale of Two Rivers near Auburn, and their tourney will already have been before this one... and it's the same name so it could cause confusion and/or be "lame." But, it might also work.

Not too wild about either of them, but it's a start

Please don't name this tourney the same as another one. It will end in tears.

I just added it to the calendar.

First Event: The Two Rivers

Second Event: Return of the Ching

And you could have a fundraiser before July and call it "The Fellowship of the Links"

Yeah, and aside from using/stealing a name already used, it would be odd having it as a "II" and be at a different course altogether.

Columbia River Clash works well, especially because it includes the club's name

River Cross Toss

Cross River Toss

Columbia River's Disc Barrage

Where The Rivers Clash

Disc Barrage Where the Rivers Cross (too long) But maybe when talked about people would just refer to it as "The Disc Barrage"

Will it only be 18 holes and not include the three peninsula holes.

perhaps Three on the Link and Two in the drink (oh wait that is just me playing doubles). sorry if that offends anyone...

Battle of the Goose Poo

Two Rivers Convergence (math terms it is all things end up the same regardless of order aka we all end up with discs in the basket) Or health wise the crossing of ones eyes....crap i kinda like that one. no i really like this one...it means so much.

The guaranteed to be perfectly calm and dont bring any stable discs Two Rivers Classic. (might need to shorten it or something)
Shock and Awww get stable presented by the CRDGC

Duck, duck, GOOSE?
The Two Rivers Fling " To fling or not to fling"

Crosswinds at Two Rivers
The Two Rivers Stroll or Stroll at the Park

In more seriousness it would be neat if it had an aviary sort of name since the holes are all birds.

(please note some are meant to be funny and just reflect my experience there ) I really love two rivers some of them are not too bad.

Having a Dennis Rockwell Open was mentioned at our first meeting and Dennis kind of shrugged off the idea and jokingly said that he'd be fine with it only after he was dead.

Having some name associated with birds, just like with the tee signs, is one idea we could go with.

Maybe to incorporate the "Goose Poo" we can have a custom disc with a picture of a goose, some "poop" splotches near the edges, and a title of "Goose $#!+"

Acording to the Urban Dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=goose%20poo

Goose Poo means "The Smell of Victory"

Awkwardly fitting....

OK, not that I'm lobbying for it you understand, but just for the record or at least as I remember it, my objection was to calling it a Memorial, and for the obvious reason. Calling it an Open, on the other hand would be very flattering and also appreciated.

CRDGC's president also wanted to have one of our first tournaments the "Dennis Rockwell Open," and now that we've got approval from the man himself... I'm sure it may be used
(It doesn't have to be this upcoming C Tier WSS tournament though)

The use of Finley Lagoon looks good too

We could also consider "Foul Fowl Open" as an alternative to "Foul Fowl Fling Open"

Maybe we can brainstorm about tournament titles like "open" "memorial" "fling" "toss" etc... and find the most appropriate to meet this particular tournament.
