Default Bend Pine Nursery - Permanent Approval - Modified 9 hole layout

From www.codgc.com

"Hats off to Bend Metro Park and Recreation for their support of a new 9-hole course in Bend! The existing 18-hole layout will be modified to make way for a future natural preserve area with nature trails and interpretive exhibits. This will leave us space for nine holes with multiple tees and collars. DGA Mach 5 baskets have been ordered and cement tees will be framed and poured in March. Stay tuned for updates and more information about work parties and how and when you can help!"

Though it is not the 18 holes that we would have loved to have...It is going to be a sweet 9 hole course with multiple tees and collars...AND the City is paying for it all.

Look for this years "Disc-Go-Ball" and come over the "hill" and play this new/redesigned course.

It has been years since I have been there. So many new Brewpubs. Yes, I will make a road trip this year.

If the two teepads on each hole are different enough from each other, it can almost be like 18 holes...

Also, not popular on the west coast, but if you have 2 collars per hole, and 18 baskets, you can keep baskets in all the collars at all times. You can even flag or paint 9 of them one color, and 9 another, and then you can play "red" or "blue" pin on any hole at any time. With 2 tees per hole, that makes 4 layouts per hole, or 36 holes total, that can be played at any time, without moving baskets.

Congratulations on getting another course in Central Oregon. The community will benefit greatly, and for me; nothing sweetens a road trip like a course along the way!
