Sorry... I see people complaining about trivial crap... I feel compelled to point it out. Sue me.

We will also be taking renewals & new memberships Sunday morning. They are pretty sweet this year metal with leather straps. #1 - #10 are gold & #11 - #100 are silver. We will be making a list of those who have purchased tags in the morning, and the lowest score for the two rounds will get tag #1.

Default Hole positions

Walked the course today and it looks good. There are some areas that are wet, but in all very playable.

Original Hole #'ing
Hole 1 - Right position
Hole 2 - Hill
Hole 3- Righit on hill
Hole 4 - Right (Jeff, should bring temp. basket for far left position)
Hole 5 - Deep ( Jeff, I would make the "new pond" OB... just need to mark with stakes/paint line. Left of pond play as casuall water and make drop "putt" zone)
Hole 6 - Right (sorry left side taken out by lawn mower)
Hole 7 - Right (straight shot)
Hole 8 - Left in the bowl area
Hole 9 - Left on hill
Hole 10 - Field
Hole 11 - (Deep...forgot WD-40 can move for 2nd round)
Hole 12 - Regular
Hole 13 - Hill
Hole 14 - Deep right
Hole 15 - Regular (Don't forget the first tree mando ).
Hole 16 - Deep
Hole 17 - Left next to slope
"New" Hole 18 ( by practice basket) - Regular.

Good luck...Have fun...and enjoy "THE SLOSH @ DABNEY' !!!

Kevin

Nice shooting Dan Brown Jr!
Looks like Advanced will be getting a new member soon.
I'm glad I'm old enough where he only gets to beat me one day a week during LL!
Go DBJ!

Thank you for a great tournament. I enjoyed myself even down to the nap I took in the car rather than finish the last 7 holes.

Default Thank you

Great Job! Well ran! Bunch of great people to play with.
Thank you to the sponsers.
Big Thank you to the TD and Staff.

Very wiped out and tired today. It took a lot of warm blankets to get rid of the chill.

Garry, it was a pleasure to get to play both rounds with you.

Thanks again, Phillip Kurtz

Default The Ruling

There was a lot of talk about one players miss play.
He was cool with however it was ruled (and that is very cool) but he wanted to understand just how the official rules would handle the miss play.

I was just sitting to the side and could not gather exactly what happen but I too am interested.

Could someone, please, detail the miss play event?
I believe I heard Jeff say that he was going to look into it.
Jeff, would you, please, pass on your findings.

I was glad to see how it was all handled.
All parties that I was listening to, seem to be most interested in getting it right. Level headed, no yelling and no blaming.

To the gentleman who miss played the hole.
Sorry about that but I felt that you handled it very well.

Heh... you have to finish all of the holes in proper order. If you do not finish a hole and proceed to play on, it should be ruled as follows:

Count the total number of strokes for the hole that should have been finished and add two strokes. If he threw 2 (he did) and then played on, his score on the unfinished hole would be a 4p. Subsequently, every throw he took before finishing the unfinished hole would be treated as a practice throw resulting in a one stroke penalty per throw. There is then the question of adding a 2 stroke penalty to this hole, as well, but that is where I get confused about stacking penalties. If stacked and he threw a drive and 2 upshots before holing out, he would go back to the previous hole and finish it (which I think would actually give him a 5p on the unfinished hole) and would be teeing off again on the subsequent hole as his 5th shot.

I think.
