I am not playing this one, but I think a lit of drama could be averted by clearly marking the mandos with signs/ribbons and by stating the OBs and mandos on the score cards and tee signs.

i'm not entirely sure what "a lit of drama" entails ... however mandos and OB's will be addressed in a very clear, concise and easy to understand manner before play ensues, they are marked on the signs out at horning's which is how we'll be playing them... and, we might even have a list printed up... shocking!!!

and seriously, people, i almost posted something about not tolerating drama at this event, i was hoping i wouldn't have to... am still hoping... don't make me do it... i've had a heck of a day today, okay???

thank you.

Cody,

Welcome to Oregon. You are going to LOVE Oregon disc golf. Great courses and a strong community full of very cool people.

With that said.... I am sorry, but this event is completely full. You are more than welcome to come out in the hopes that we have a no-show, but we can't promise you anything.

Jeff

unless the tournament is using different mandos, they are always marked on the mando location and tee pad signs.

Default go time, people!!!

definitely feeling a little nostalgic here at the keyboard as i realize this will be my last post in my first thread for a tournament i am co-td'ing... ahhh... memories...

okay, enough nonsense already... i thought it might be helpful to repost the schedule, so here it is (big and bold):

Check In: 7:30-8am
Players Meeting: 8:15
Tee Off: 8:45
Lunch: 11:45-12:45pm
Players Meeting: 12:45
Tee Off: 1:00
Awards: 45 minutes after last card comes in

and a couple other things of note:

stop worrying about mandos and OBs... we'll have a list, they'll be marked (no need for drama)

and please still use caution on the drive up the hill... no matter what the weather decides to do, there is still a distinct possibility of slickery corners and patches of black ice... the freezing fog this year's been a tad on the wicked nasty side out here on the west side, so give yourself a few extra minutes for the trip (and don't worry, arriving early for check in is never a bad thing)...

looking forward to seeing everybody out there... looks like Slosh #2 is shaping up to be a right nice little event... thank you to everyone preemptively for showing up and participating.

p.s. and don't forget your lunch.

p.p.s. goooooo, Slosh!!!

I agree, Great event, lots of fun. I really appreciate all your hard work. However I would be willing to pay more ($5-$10) to not worry about food next time.

Had a great time. Even after the events of my drive up, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

What can I say? It is well run event! Great jobs, Emma, Garry and the staff! It was the most fun especially to witness Sara's first ace at # 6 From what I learned that it was Andrea's first win as Advanced Women, and the best part is that not of us settled for 3rd or 4th as three of us end up in tied for 2nd!!

I noticed the par is off for some of the divisions, did the layout get changed the 2nd round on the canyon?

I set the par for the Canyon at 56. Holes 13 & 18 being par 4s.

I set the par on Meadow Ridge as 60. Holes 10 & 16 being par 5s and Holes 7 & 14 being par 4s.

Actually the only difference is the par set by Jeff on Meadow Ridge, hole # 10. Hole 13 and 18 on Canyon we list as par 4's, hole 7 on Meadow Ridge we list 2 ways, par 4 for non-pros, par 3 for pros, Hole 14 we list as par 4, and 16 of course is par 5. We do list hole 10 as a par 4, though all this is up to the TDs for each tournament.

A big shout out to Emma and all for a great event, and Emma, please thank your dad again for the souvenir trophy, very fun and cool!
