Default Would you rather...

Become a 1000 rated player and never win anything higher than an A tier

Or...

Be a 970 rated golfer that wins one Major or NT in their career?

I'd go with the 1000 rating because it takes a lot of dedication and consistent play over a long period of time. I admire solid, consistent play.

This... from a guy who has shot a 1049 rated round AND a 939 rated round... in the same tourney. Not consistent... at all.

I wouldn't mind being a 970 rated World Champion.

interesting question, but I don't think anyone rated below 1000 has ever won a NT or a major. Most of the guys who are competitive in those events would consider a 970 rated round a disaster...

I would want to be a 1000 rated player for sure. If you are shooting that good consistently you would be placing pretty well.
