Default A New Green at Milo!!!

Many thanks to Aaron Kirschling and Carson Wilson for organizing another awesome impromptu Milo work party. We got out there ready to rock at around 10am on Saturday morning and Aaron already had a ring of river rock lining the approach to the new green. We dumped two full loads of dirt down on BSF 13 West , spread them out, and shaped a somewhat raised green, then seeded the new green using 3 truckloads of plugs leftover from a golf course then went back over the whole area with grass seed.

With the rains this week this new green should be looking awesome in no time at all.

Jeff

Well, it is hard to explain which hole is which since the rangers carved up the 27 hole course layout and did their idiotic re-numbering of all of the holes, but it would be one of these holes:

BSF West - Hole 13
West Course - Hole 8
Hole 8 of 27

No worries. The course used to be a straight 27 hole course. Then, a few years ago, the rangers split it up in to an 18 hole East course and a 9 hole West course. Personally, I think it was poorly thought out and caused a lot more problems than it fixed. Until we have two permanent 18s, I can't get behind the split courses.

So this is the long, open hole with the river on the left that usually finishes at a green tucked in the woods, correct? Where is the new green in relation to the old one?

The two other greens will remain, but this one is on the right side up towards the walking path. It basically turns the final upshot into a controlled anhyzer.

I understand now. Very cool. I like that a lot better than two hyzers.
