Wow, what a busy weekend. The weather was perfect for disc golfing. The June Bag Tag Monthly nearly filled the limited capacity Van Zee course. The added OB flags created some needed risk/reward on holes 6, 7, and 9. The Island hole on #9 painfully added strokes to some players that went for the deuce. Scores were all over the place. I was really surprised at some of the scores that were turned in.

The SSA ended up being 46.

The greens at Van Zee can be very tough at times. Missed putts could result in bad rolls, which means that a potential deuce turns into a bogey. You can argue that it is not fair, but really it is up to the player to make the right decision for the shot.

Thanks again to the Papas for donating the dyed discs for the raffle prizes. Super cool.

The next Bag Tag Monthly is July 16th at the Fairgrounds course.

Results/Report for the July Bag Tag Monthly held last Saturday at the Fairgrounds DG Course.

John Carter had the hot round and earned the prize for 1st place. The five custom dyed discs were raffled off to the other players.

A special thanks to everyone who stayed after the Bag Tag challenge round and helped at the Weed 'n' Feed work party. A lot was accomplished and the Fairgrounds course is looking great. It is in the best shape that I have ever seen it. Also, thanks to Brian Jacobs and crew for the food preparations for the Feed part of the work party. Awesome food and plenty of it.

The next Monthly is August 27th @ Dalaiwood.
